For us, this has really been a year of highs, and also of lows. Started off on a high with our 8 year old Centurion having been upgraded over the winter with gelcoat refinishing, new stereo, and a new Towerbimini. Then came the low of a storm sinking the boat. Another high was was good insurance, and a new 210 soon followed. Only that was followed by another low. Each week as got to the lake, our lift would be down with the boat partially touching the water. Just not enough capacity for the new boat. Found a good deal on a new Hydro-hoist, got it installed, and finally, we're good to go. Almost. The lake level has dropped to a new low of just over 6 feet, and the lift is starting to touch bottom. With no rain in sight, it might be a while before we get back to normal. Here's a pic of everything all ready to go.

Saw last night PK was down over 6 feet....one of the other lakes in the area was down almost 13 ft!!!
Lewisville is down about 3 ft. at this point and there are definitely a few places that I steer clear of (including the channel by PArty Cove)...Current Nautique: 2013 G23
Previous Nautiques: 2012 SANTE 230, 2011 SANTE 230, 2010 SANTE 210, 2006 SANTE 210

Yea. I'm on PK. They (BRA) will continue releasing water weekly for downstream customers, so the level will continue to drop. It's a big, deep lake, but my dock is normally in approx 13 ft of water, but one corner is shallower and that's where the lift is hitting.

We have a house on Cedar Creek and the boat has been off the lift in storage for 6 weeks now. It's not worth getting it stuck in the lift with dirt underneith watching the boat decay. I've seen lakes around here be dry for almost two years until people were able to get their boats out, not willing to watch our boat hang for long long and go to waste. For this price of boat, get a dry storage unit and throw it in there until the lake is at a safe level again. Benefit is you can still use it on lakes that aren't too low.

I pulled the boat out last Sunday. Wasn't going to take a chance. I have a nice barn to keep the boat in and we have a ramp that is still useable for now. It's just a pisser to finally get the boat/lift working and then run out of water. The 90 day forecast shows us to be above temps and below rainfall, so it won't get any better soon, that is until it floods. LOL

All the campgrounds/cabins that I know of are all OK. The State Park is open. The fires hurt the Gaines Bend and Sportsmans World areas the most. The biggest issue coming up will be the boat ramps. The BRA built two new ones this winter at Sandy Beach and D&D, but they're both closed. Guess they didn't go very deep. The campground with cabins that's closest to us is Rock Creek. They were still using that ramp last weekend, but as the name implies, there are some large rocks visible near the ramp. The lower area of the lake is very deep and will be OK for quite a while.

Lewisville is still up enough and holds the recreational bar pretty high so it's one of the last lakes around the DFW area to get sucked too low.
Down south though is getting rough:

Luckily the family dock is on Lake Austin... at constant level.2002 SANTE
