I'm in serious need of a cover. Mine rotted out in 2 years. Current one fits well with two support poles, but a pain to put on...especially when boat is in water. I end up swimming straps under boat. I was wondering if anyone has used a Cover Sports cover for 02 SN196 style hull. I'm skeptical that it will tent enough without poles. I don't even know if Cover Sports has a pattern for 2002 196.

I am almost positive that they have that pattern. I can guarantee that it will tent properly without poles. Their covers are awesome! How different could it be from my 98? Tenting is not an issue. Towing is not an issue. Torrential downpours while towing, based on my own anecdotal evidence, is not an issue.

Hey Guys,
Looks like the 2006 196 I am picking up will need a cover, - the link to procovers off the sponsor links is a road to nowhere? Maybe their site is down?
On the cover themselves, does anyone have one with access slots for the cleats? In the summer I rent a lake house for a couple weeks and need to be able to put it on and leave the boat tied up at the dock? Can they accommodate this? And with the boat tied up to the dock, will it be a problem securing the cover on the side that is away from the dock? as long as I don't have to hook the front and back first before securing the sides I should be okay.
