CA / SF Bay Area dealers - did i miss any?

    Hi,

Trying to make sure that i properly explore all purchase options new and used, and wanted to make sure i cover the very few dealers left in region. here is who i found so far:

Central Valley Marine - Campbell, CA
    Marine Specialties - Sparks, NV
    Sun Country Marine- LA, CA
M2o Marine Outfitters, Inc. - San Diego, CA

Does anyone know of any others that i should use? Also, if you have had any positive experiences with a salesperson at any of them, please send me their names as well.

    TIA
    D

I do not know the current name, but the "formerly known as West Coast Correct Craft" is an option for used Correct Craft boats. Great service facility.

    They are in Rancho Cordova

Sun Country just took over for ccc last year. It looks like they mainly deal in Yachts and runabouts. I have heard bad things and noticed they had a large display at the LA boat show, but didn't bother bringing any nautique's. My business will be going to M20. I also recall cc being funny about going out of your dealer area. Some dealers will not even talk sales if you live out of their assigned district.

are you located in NorCal or SoCal shooter?

either way, do you have someone at M20 that you are/have worked with that you would recommend?

Drick, I live in socal (orange county). To be fair, I don't have first hand experience with Sun Country or M20. California Correct Craft (now greenroom) was my respected CC dealer until last year. I do ride in a circle of friends that all have nautiques and have heard only good things about M20. They are a small dealer so don't expect them to have a large stock.

CC is very unfriendly in regards to price shopping and you may be stuck with whatever dealer is assigned to your area. If you are looking to buy used, don't just focus on the CC dealers. Use onlyinboards, wakeworld, planetnautique & craigslist to find what your looking for.

What are you looking to buy or do you know. Where are you located?

i've noticed this, which is disappointing to say the least, especially in this economy.

at this juncture either i'm waffling back and forth between a 226 and a 230 as i'm not an expert wakeboarder by a long shot. several dealers i've spoken to have suggested the 226 for a beginner, which moved me off the 230 where i was previously locked. i'm located in San Jose, which meand CVM is the only game in town, no pun intended.

Mike Thomas is our guy over at CVM. Always had him take good care of us. Parts/Service is another story...currently looking for another place to order parts and service from.

                      drick,

You can definitely trust Mike Thomas--he has the hookup for new, used, and repo deals locally--otherwise you can always buy from a private party. As for parts I can also concur with DanielC and wake_fun as I have ordered parts through Superior Boat Repair in Rancho Cordova as well as White Lake Marine. For service, I have spoken with Bill Quigley at Topside Marine(in business since 1990), 408-271-2628, and they seem like they seem like they do high caliber work at reasonable rates. I haven't used them yet--they get pretty booked up in peak season(as do most shops and service departments). Anyone in Nor-Cal used Topside Marine?

                        thanks shawn.

i've been thinking about repos in this economy, do those also go to the dealers?

It's my understanding that a dealer can get another dealers new inventory when they go out of business (somewhat of a repo). Good repos are hard to find and I heard they are normally not great deals because people over bid the value at auction. I would guess most of the repos that flooded the market a few years ago are sold off. Watch crankyape.com for the occasional inboard boat repo.

You sound like me a few years ago. I explored buying new, used and repos. I feel the best deals are used private party sales. Decide what you want and what you want to spend..Watch the sites and be ready to jump on a deal when you find one. Winter is coming and is normally the best time to negotiate with sellers.

if you have the cash and want to buy new, you're just going to have to bite the bullet and negotiate with your local dealer.IMO, New nautique's are extremely overpriced, but Maybe i would feel different if I made a lot more money.
