Ski Nautique 200 for wakeboarding and surfing

I've written before about this after having my first experience wakeboarding behind a SN 200 (2011 model with tower). I've since had the chance to play around with various set-ups and wanted to share my experience so that current and future owners can bebefit.

So I've thrown two large fatsacs in the back - 750# each, but not filled to capacity. Both were laid out across, one on the floor between the back seat ant the motor box, and the other one laid out on the back seat.

While there wasn't much space left to move around in the boat, the wakeboard wake was amazing - and I'm an experienced rider who has riden behind many different boats including a 210, 211, X-2 and wakesetter (XTi, mind you). At 21 MPH or so, 70' rope, (light) wife and one 13 y.o. on the boat. Very solid wake, nice ramp, landing zone a little narrow so watch out for those flats.

With the exact same setup, we then took some surfing sets. No need to move the sacs to one side, only ask the passengers to move to the surfer's side. And I should mention that we tried both starboard and port surfing and it was great.

So overall I'm very happy with this boat. It is THE hardcore ski machine. With a little sadness when I bought this baybee I thought that I had also made the choice to give up wakeboarding. But now, Orthopaedic Surgeons rejoice, I'm very excitd to be able to continue to enjoy wakeboarding while still have the ultimate machine to progress in my skiing skills.

I would love to see some pictures of the setup to see how much room you lose and if you can still move around. My 8 yo has gone over to the dark side and taken up wakeboarding exclusively. Very hard for a slalom dad to accept. I can get a decent ramp for him if I put enough big adults in the back seat. However, when it is only myself and his 5 year sister, the wake leaves a bit to be desired.

If it looks good I will just need to find some used fat sacs for sale.

Better to have the kids wakeboard than watch the boob tube! For an 8 y.o., just put a sack between the back seat and motor box (750# is always a good choice). Should be more than enough.

Doesn't surprise me at all, with the sacks in the rear your mimicking the weight dist. of the 200 sport and probably even more so with the engine weight midships. Should throw a veru acceptable wake for a ski boat. Got to be a little tight for space though.

No! Video cameras banned in boats here in the US.

Sorry, I just noticed the replies now... I'll see if I can find pics, but from what I remember we had a few but the shots were very shaky.

Anyhow, trust me, it'll get the job done if you're looking for up to intermediate sized wakes.
