I was thinking of getting a black Cover Sports cover. For one reason, I think it would look great on my red 02 196. For another, there is a small discount since the Cover Sports logo is on the cover. My concerns are heat and cottonwood. Any comments? Especially regarding heat. It won't get hot to the point that it impacts anything in the boat, will it?

Is the boat stored outside in the sun? In IL. I dont think it will be a problem. -
My black one that I have used this summer in the hot Virginia heat has not caused any problems. It has been over 100 degrees many days here this summer, and the boat has been fine.I own and operate Silver Cove Marine, which is an inboard boat restoration, service, and sales facility located in Mooresville, North Carolina. Yes. It is stored outside in sun in chicago area. Inside only during winter. Gets pretty humid...maybe extra heat from black would help in keeping things dry.Comment
