    1994 snob

    Hello,
    Question about the switch panel and maybe someone here has done this. I have a 1994 SNOB and I am wanting to change out the old push button switches for
    the ignition, radio, accessories, etc...as they are wearing out.

    Question is...which switches hold up well, and is it a straight swap?

    I have wired lights and such to trucks using these, so I am assuming it is pretty straight-forward. Any advice?

      Have you taken the dashboard off???

      If not, it is usually a HUGE mess of wires. But they are little block boxes with wires attached to them for each switch. If you unscrewed one, you could probably find what they are and get a new one. You can probably, just screw the new one right in to the original holes and hook up the wires. When i was installing my Perfect Pass, they didn't look that difficult. But i never messed with them.

        Nice looking boat. You can get those circuit breaker switches from www.nautiqueparts.com. Use the pnd coupon code. They are $20 each so kindof pricey but they lasted a long time the first time around so should be fine for a while.

        Not to hijack, but how do you like your tower? Looks great. Do you have a good side shot? Thinking of putting one on my 93 Sport. Thanks.

          What brand is that tower? It is not the one I thought and I like yours better than the one I have been looking at.

            Thanks for the replys.

            Haven't had the dash off, but i can get to each one individually so I shouldn't have to take the whole thing off. I was thinking just some regular toggle switches would work fine...and at $4 each, that would be far more economic than $20! I think there are 8, so that would be $160...little too expensive for me.

            Laddski, thanks! I like the tower and think it looks great on this boat. It is the aerial tower, and folds down in about 2 minutes so I can put it in the garage.

              The pushbuttons are not simply switches, but circuit breakers. That is why they are $20/ea. I would not switch them out for toggles unless you added individual breakers or fuses as well. My recommendation would be to stick with the breakers.
