SV211 Washed Out Wakesurf Wake - Totally Stumped :(

I am a bit stumped and could sure use some help guys. 2006 SV211 TE. I have had the boat for 3 years now and have been surfing since we got it. I consider myself a decent surfer and fairly knowledgable on boat setup but this is so puzzling to me. Anyway, been surfing all summer and wake has been perfect. Two weekends ago the wake just became all washed out and frothy. No clean lip anymore and the rooster wash shooting in your face and legs.

Always the same lake, always 10-20ft of water, always port and belly tanks full, always set in wakeboard, same factory prop, etc. Point being boat worked perfect for 3 years with same setup and then now all of the sudden its garbage.

Is there something I'm overlooking or maybe I have a leak somewhere or is there something else I should be looking at? I live for the lakes and boarding and its just killing me to not surf and board. Any help is appreciated.

I noticed when we're going too fast the splash is pretty nasty. I know you are probably going the same speed you always have, but just a thought. It usually only takes a couple of tenths down on the speed to make it go away.

I go 10 mph with my 210.

The boat was the same for 3 years with the same setup everytime. Since it became washed out we have tried going up to 10.5 and down by the Perfectpass 2/10's down to 8.5 and no change. Ugh, frustrated.

That is strange! Do you have the hydrogate on that thing? Maybe something has come loose with it? Otherwise I guess make sure your tanks are actually filling? Where are you located in ND? I'm making the trip back there next week to visit the relatives.

We have tried the hydrogate in both wakeboard or slalom. It is still functional. I feel that the tanks are filling correctly since the guages go from empty to full and you can watch the guage rise as it fills. I am in North Dakota. Winter is approaching... all the more reason I'd like to figure it out soon .

Maybe too much weight aft? When I added a sac towards the front it lengthened the sweet spot. With factory ballast, I put a 350 sac on the stern walk thru, a 370 sac under the passenger side bench and now put the other 350 on the floor of the bow.

I ride at 10.5, lighter riders can do 11 to 11.5

Sometimes if I get pulled up as the boat is turning the wake will be washed. The only way to correct this is to make a hard turn to the opposite side the rider is on, or stop and start again while pulling up straight. Also I've found that if I make a hard turn to the rider's side sometimes the wake gets washed when I straighten out. What's the wind / chop situation? Sometimes my boat has trouble keeping the right speed in adverse conditions and the wake suffers.

Crew weight?

Sometimes I forget to factor in crew and gear weight and accidentally overload the boat. I like my 211 with factory port/belly and 3-4 people on the port seating areas plus driver. If I have a small crew I fill my 500lb sack on the floor against the passenger lounge seat lengthwise. If I have more than 5 in the boat I need to start running less in the port tank, with 7 in the boat I had to empty the port tank and half the belly to get it to clean up. I have found it is super easy to overweight the 211 and turn it to foam.

Is there more lake plants in the lake now than before? Have they grown up to much closer to the surface? If so, that's it.

I had this problem last year late in the season. The plants had gotten so close to the surface that they either got mixed up in my prop or made it very difficult to get a clean wake. With it being late in the season, they've had plenty of chance to grow and perhaps it's been better growing conditions this year than in years past.

It might be that simple? Try another lake if that's an option.
