Looks like I might be upgrading...

I'm sorry for the random thread, but it looks like I'm going up to Pacific Nautiques to scope out some 04 SAN's with my father this Saturday. My dad is calling up the bank tomarow to check out getting pre approved. I'm pretty excited to say the least, but nothing is set in stone so, it could all fall through still... Depending on how the 210 teams look. He is also considering ordering an 05 that would be delivered in June. I'm not shure on colors, but it sounds like black primary, white secondary, grey hull. (Both of em sound like they are black (the 04's for sale) both team editions.)

    Just thought I would share.
    How about \"Chales\"?

Sorry phili, but at 16, I'm not exactly in the financial situation to afford a 50k boat... That and as it turns out its only about 40$ more per month then the the current boat.

Thanks for the good luck everyone, I haven't been this excited since we went to get our new boat, its hard to believe that its allready been 6 years. I can still remember seeing her in the shrinkwrap...

Thanks for the comment on the sig too, I stole it from someone on audiworld.com.

Well, I saw one boat that was beat about 5x as bad as my '99. Bottom of the hull was scratched up, cig burns on the dash, poor SAN.

So, here are the two options, The first one is the '05 that could be delivered in May, or the second one acctually has the 04 tower on it (metalic silver powder coat). It has about 90 hrs and belonged to one of the mechanics at Pacific Nautiques, it was in phenominal shape compared to the grey one we looked at first.

The fusion green is much better looking in person, there was an 04 there it looked exactly like the promo boat in the 04 catalog, but with a white powdercoated tower. It got sold though...

Go for the used one and spend the difference on a lift and canopy or stereo. You're probably not gonna find a better used one than from a Nautique dealer mechanic right?

Hollywood, thats definitely how I'm leaning, my dad and I are gonna go get a lift for the new boat probably in 2 weeks. Both are loaded team editions, the difference being about 4-5k and the 04 tower vs. the 05 tower. My dad kinda is leaning towards the 05 though, his reasoning is that this is the last boat hes gonna buy, so he might as well order it exactly how he wants it. But both boats are basically identical as far as options and even colors go... I suppose I will know tomorrow when he talks to Ron (guy who has been awesome as far as sending us parts out of warranty for free, and generally just taking care of the customer. over the past 6 years.) and figures out what hes gonna do (order vs used, if he's gonna trade in our boat or sell it privately.)

I can defiantly say though, that my family's boat is in phenomenal shape, especially for being almost 7 summers old! It was in better shape then that 04, poor thing looked like the kid who owned it also had some run ins with some rocks or something.

Are you also considering the 211 TE since you are ordering new anyway? The 210 is a good hull but it is getting a bit dated.

Not really, not a big fan of the 211, IMO if it "ain't" broke don't fix it. Although I suppose technically the hull is only from 02 (when they shortened the transom and narrowed the gunnels.) I think they hacked a good 2-3 inches off the hull. (I believe the dealership said that this weekend about when they did away with the sloped transom) But, I'm fine with the 210 hull, I think its an amazing hull, I mean to think about something thats 10 years old now (SAN Hull) and still at the top. It's definitely not gonna go away any time soon either, because its so popular. I'm also not a big fan of the new "bubbly" style. I mean don't get me wrong It's an awesome boat, and Watson is riding behind one. It's just not my thing.

Make sure he doesn't jinx the next boat.
