210 Ballast questions

I'm starting to do some research on my next boat and hoped you could help. I'm likely looking at a '03-06 year range (SAN or SS), but from what I see the hull goes way back.
I've tried to piece info together from searches but its pretty tough to get the big picture, so was hoping you could help.

What kinds of ballast configurations came stock on the 210 vdrive series boats

-which models came stock with ballast (only SAN, not supersport?)
-were there different models (rears only, belly only, both) and types (hard tank, bags, underfloor), and different weights
-what kind of pumps/switches/valves were used
-what are people adding in addition to stock, or upgrading from no ballast
-what year did the hydrogate start coming online, and is it effective?

One of the boats i'm looking at is an '05 Supersport with no ballast, so I'm trying to get an understanding.

03-06, I believe "stock" (Signature Edition) was only rear tanks. I know in 2003 the larger rear "wedge" tanks and center tank were upgrades that came with the Team Edition. The center tank may have become standard from 04 to 06, but I'm not sure if or when

All I can say is that belly only was not a option. Standard rear= unknown... Wedge tanks= 250lbs each...center tank=350 lbs

Always hard tanks, Bags & under the floor ballast have never been a option even in 2012 (one of my disappointments with CC)

Aerator pumps with under helm remote valves until 06 when the went to impeller pumps.

Bag, bags & bags with some lead...piggy back Fly High on the rear stock = 350 lbs each or install 750s with no stock..I personally like some lead in the nose and to move around to dial in the wake.

New hull 07 or 08. I have heard it doesn't do much except mellow the wake.

I'm not educated on what was stock in a sports so maybe someone else will chime in..I know you could option any year and a model so you will just need to take it boat for boat...there are sports out there that are basically a team SANTE...I dint know why anyone did this instead of just buying the SANTE in the first place.

WRT wakeboarding, the hydrogate does nothing but mush up the lip. But it is useful for getting on plane with a heavy load (especially at altitude) and for pushing the bow down for a more comfortable ride running into chop.

A lot of people end up ripping out hard tanks, so do not see the lack of a ballast system in a SS as necessarily negative. It could save you some coin on the purchase and some hassle after the purchase. Also, this hull has a very good wakeboarding wake with little to no ballast. I rode my 2000 all last week with nothing more than 80 lbs of steel in the bow, a full medium-sized cooler in the middle, and a 180 lb driver at 21.5 mph. 6' of pop was common, and wake to wake was not a problem (up to 75'). We did not bother trying longer than that, but we could hit the flats at 75' no problem. This is from a guy who pretty much sucks (me) and another guy who pretty much sucks (just a little less than me).

Also, ripping out the belly hard tank is fairly difficult (I think). The rears are pretty easy.
