Mail from Nautique.com "The All New 2012 Super Air Nautique 230"

I got a nice email from Nautique.com about the 2012 230 with the subject "The All New 2012 Super Air Nautique 230" with information and links to the Nautique website. But, the website only mentions the 2011 one. There mail and internet marketing seems to be out of sync.
The 2012 Super Air Nautique 230 is on the boundary-pushing edge of wakeboarding and wakesurfing. It offers uncompromising comfort and performance while producing a well-defined pro-level wake that is unmatched anywhere in the world.
The 230 features all new interior striping patterns that adorn the functional and transformable interior as well as accentuate vibrant colors and rich textures. New for this year, our flagship wakeboard boat is available in the Nautique Edition as well as the Team Edition. The Team Edition adds a new level of navigation and controls with the second generation of Nautique LINC offering a wide variety of features including ballast, multiple user profiles and much more right at your fingertips. Upgrade the performance of your 230 with the optional XS 550hp Supercharged engine by PCM®.

From the starting dock at the most prestigious events in the world to a perfect day on the lake with friends and family, the Super Air Nautique 230 pushes boundaries. It's at the top of our line, launching you to the top of your game.

I'm personally not a fan of CC's marketing in general. When I watch the promo videos on the website, I think (a) who the heck wrote the cheesy monologue, and (b) the guy reading the cheesy monologue has no idea what he is talking about and probably has never ridden behind a boat of any kind.

Their print ads in wakeboarding mag and alliance are the worst, i think just the picture above of the side of the 230 in an action shot with no words would be better than what they use. The current ones look like a fact sheet and usually dont even show the boat in the water in action...

you have to keep in mind, they arent marketing to the people whom know boats or the people whom frequent these boards....

It's because, while skiing and boarding boats have never been cheap, they have increased in price so much it's astounding. And you would think certain pn members would be part of a yearly focus group, but nope. I think the loyalty goes slightly unappreciated by cc.

Negative because it is true. We are the toughest critics because we literally obsess over these boats. Heck, today I took mine to the car wash and sprayed the windshield with vinegar then gave the whole thing a rinse with the spot-free water. (no soap) Then I wiped her down all over. Then I went and put her in the lake for six hours of bliss. Q: who washes their boat BEFORE they use it? you got it.

The sad part in the add above is so much attention drawn to the crest and chromax numbers. Perhaps some Yankee marketing firm figured out that's what sells.

I hand washed mine inside and out before our week at Whitelake and it made the week much better because I wasn't looking at a dirty boat...

I love Nautiques. I just think CC's ads are cheesy. I'm not negative all the time. We are giving CC a clue by telling them what we do and do not like. CC should take note.

I would love to see the new 230's despite of the cheesy adds. I do not own a CC yet. I am waiting for my business to turn around. Soon though. I also have to sell my other boat, which will be no problem. Many offers already. One thing I really do not want to see is the all digital dash. I personally like the gauges along with the dash. Just like last year. We'll see. Does anyone know when the reveal will come out?

                        Hi Tazz,

I recognize you from the "other" boards. After owning 4 of those, we bought our first new Nautique and have never looked back. Incredible boats.

Hope to hear about your new 230 soon.

By saying those, do you mean SC. If so, The reason i want to get rid of it is because of the bags. I hate the bags. The one biggest question about the boat is "How is the wake?" My wife water skies and does not like a big wake. I need to convince her that it has a descent skiing wake. I know that the Hydrogate will help that out a bit, and possibly some extra bow weight. I hope to see what the dash looks like in the 230 very soon. I also want to make arrangements to test one out. Like I said, I need to convince the wife in letting me get a new boat.

Yes, we had 4 different SC boats before going Nautique. Can't speak to the 230 but the 200V is what we bought because between all of our kids, they literally do everything. Slalom, trick, wakeboard, jump, barefoot, surf, etc. The 200V has an incredibly flat wake for skiing and then a respectable wake for the rest. It has the tanks so no bags. It's not quite as big as the 230 but a ton cheaper and does everything well. We love it.

If your wife drives your LSV (we had a 2006), let her drive a Nautique and it will be a done deal.

We do not have a dealer in Vegas. I wish. We need to drive either to Utah, Arizona, or Southern Calif. to test a boat. I guess that it will be worth the drive. My Favorite is the orange crush color.
