Remove Ski Pole??

Hello all,

I would like to remove the ski pole on my 2006 SANTE 220. It looks pretty straighforward. Any heads up here? Also, Any ideas on a round emblem or something that I can use to cover the hole? I would probably just silicon it down.

Any input on this? Is this a really bad idea? Seems pretty easy to do, except for a clever way to cover the hole.
