95 sport wake versus 99 ski

I have a question regarding the wake of a 95 sport nautique versus a 99 ski nautique (with open bow). I know the ski is slightly smaller and light but for someone who has never even skied behind a direct drive boat or been through a course (me) will I be able to notice a big difference in wake? I really like the walk through to bow on the sport versus the step over dash to bow on the ski.

If you're not skiing the course then you will love the versatility of the Sport. Having owned a 93 Sport for 14 years now, it is tough to beat. They can do it all relatively well. Not the best in any category but respectable in all. You will appreciate the extra space and how solid it is. Coming from a v-drive, you will be blown away by the wake on a direct drive.

If you are considering it for wakeboarding or anything besides slalom, go Sport as well. Good luck.
