    Barefoot Boom for a 200

    I need some recommendations for a boom for a 2010 Nautique 200 with a 343

We want to use it for learning barefooting (although we are new to footing)

    Also for beginner ski guests

if the windshield wraps past the boom, you'll need the one that is offset. If you have a tower, chances are slim (IMO) of getting one to fit.

Call Mike Seipel at (561)523-1947 and tell him the boat you have.

DON'T let him talk you into the pinned adjuster until you are sure you want it. I do suggest the boom extension but you might not need it on a 200....it all depends on the chine spray.

I have a Barefoot International universal contour boom that I use on the 200. Fits well behind the windshield. I don't have a tower so I can't comment on the fit with a tower. I would suggest that you will definitely need the boom extension. We don't use for barefooting only teaching kids to ski. At 15-20 mph the chine spray in very bad with the normal boom length. Have never paid attention at barefoot speeds. The extension gets the kids out of the spray. I also prefer the extension because it has a smaller diameter and easier for small kids to hold on to. My 5 year daughter was skiing of it this weekend quite easily.

Note there are two types of extensions:

          1. The boom "extension" which goes between the two boom pieces and adds 18". The guy wires have to be adjusted to install this. (one time if you use it every time like I do)

          2. The "handle" extension which attaches on the end of the boom and adds about 12". It does not require guy wire adjustment. You do need a tool to take it on and off ...an allen wrench IIRC. The diamter is turned down to about a 1" diameter (same diameter as a ski handle)
