If the pump is cycling when you turn it on but no water is moving, then you probably just have a bad impeller. I am not exactly sure on the 230, but I imagine the pumps are all pretty much the same. On my 216 I ordered several of the green nitrile jabsco puppy impellers to always have some spares. The fix is easy, as you simply remove the pump's front cover, pull out the old impeller, place the new one on (has a D shaped shaft) and replace the cover.
Hopefully that is all it is. Impellers are a wear and tear item and will need occasional replacement.
Our 2009 210 went through 3 impellers in just a few months the first year. Kept burning the center 'D' shaped rubber key. I replaced the pump under warranty and no problems since.
Start with impeller but a faulty pump could also be possible if it repeats.
Went through two myself this year in a matter of weeks. Warranty covers 'em.
