Can't make up my mind

Hey all, I currently have a 2010 200OB but my family is more into the floating and mixture of fun then just skiing. I can't decide which Nautique to get next. I'm tossed between the new Sport 200, a Sport 216 or a SAN 210. The reason I'm all over the place is, I like the new Sport 200 but we're thinking of a slightly bigger boat this time hence the thought of the Sport 216. The SAN 210 looks perfect except we still have some skiers in the family and I'm not sure how that boat handles skiers. We're not pros (not even close) and we could ski behind a tanker and probably be happy but we're coming off the best ski boat ever and I'm wondering how miserable we would be with a SAN (hence the thought of the Sport 216 again).

So, please give me all the advice you can. I'll be looking at a new boat in the next week or two but I would like to have a slight idea as to what I'm getting into before I try them all. I know I'll get behind any of them and love it so I'm looking for knowledge before I just fall in love again.

Personally I think you will have a better ski wake (30mph range) on the 210 than you will on the 216 due to the hull shapes. The 210 has been a very popular boat for several years, while the 216 struggled to find its niche. Both are very good barefooting boats long line, but don't offer the option for a center pylon mounted boom like the 200's.
I will also rave about the Sport 200 as the ultimate family crossover boat, and the interior room will suprise you.

From my experience, a new hull 210 will match your needs the best. Test it!

I have a 08 210 and my wife skis it every time we go out at 31-32 mph no ballast and the gate down its very doable. Compared to your 200 it will look huge but you will get used to it quickly. Try wake surfing the 210 puts out an excellent surf wake and its very addictive.

+1 for the 210. We love the versatility. Our family does skiing, wakeboarding and wakesurfing and the boat does well with the standard setup (we have the Team Edition).

Going from a ski nautique 200 to anything else is going to be a disapointment, especially if anyone in the family skies at slower speeds. The 200 sport might be ok, and is probably better than the 216 dd, but I have no direct knowledge of either to compair. I've never skied a V drive that had a good ski wake, even when the wake is smallish and soft, they have had a fairly deep trough because of all the weight in the back. (Note = that is just my opinion, and its formed from skiing behind the best ski boat ever made, and trying to avoid any boat that has the motor in the wrong place.) Good luck with your shopping!

If you need/want more space, the 210 is likely the better option. The sport 200 has a nice configuration, but it's still a tight fit when filled with a family. It's dimensions are still the same as your 200, so it's pretty much a zero sum gain in space by putting the engine in the back. Those on board are just able to sit much closer to each other.

I'll give you $30k for your 200, but that's as low as I'll go;-)

We bought a Sport 200 and couldn't be happier. Between all of us we slalom, trick, jump, barefoot, wakeboard, wakeskate, and surf and it performs great on all of them. Best boat we've ever owned by far. My son slalom's behind the 200 CB and OB every week in tournaments and never complains about the wake on the Sport 200 at home even at 30 mph.

Sadly, the boat is out for the year but the boom works great. We have the Barefoot International contour boom with the extension. Works brilliantly.
