Looking for Oil Changer and Flusher for Dry Dock running

I know this topic has been discussed before, but I couldn't find the thread. I owned an I/O for 16 yrs.. but I've been converted! I'll be getting my '05 SV211 out soon and I need to be educated on what helpful tools I need to carry with me. Can anyone (or everyone) refresh my memory on a few things (and maybe a few I haven't remembered).

1) Which Oil Changed is the best to buy? Want easy to use, and least mess to clean up afterwards?

2) What flusher should be used.. I see the "Fake-A-Lake" seems to be the most popular, but I thought someone had a better suggestion?

3)Where can I get some simple Nautique Logos.. preferebly white and not overly large. As everyone has commented, NautiqueGear.com seems to be very limited (not to mention it isn't working for me.. wants a username/password to even view products).

Your SV-211 should have a hose connected to the oil drain plug on the engine. It will be routed up and clipped near the front of your engine. Look for a hose with a metal plug that's clipped to the front of the engine. Unclip that hose, remove the hull drain plug, route the hose through the hull, and drain the oil into a pan. Then just pull the hose back into the boat and clip it back where it belongs.

Besides Fake-A-Lake, there's a product called a flush-pro that actually mounts inline on your cooling water hose in the boat. A garden hose can be connected directly to this device. It makes things a little easier than Fake-A-Lake.

Jeff -- Thanks, for the info.. I did look up the Perko Flush Pro.. is there a standard size used on all CC's or does anyone know what the Excalibu on a 211 uses? The boat is in storage about an hour away (still shrink wrapped from top to bottom). I'd like to order some of this stuff early. The Flush Pro looks like the neatest/cleanest way to go.. and also makes it easy to winterize with antifreeze.

the Perko Flush Pro is 1 1/4" for the SV 211. That's what I installed. I added it after the in line water filter. Fit's perfectly. works great!

15 minute install. just remember the hose has that pesky wire in it so have a pair of cutters handy.

Henry, thanks.. I was guessing that it was 1 1/4.. but wanted to make sure.. this site is wonderful.. I owned a Rinker for 16 yrs and could never find a users group... quite the different class! Thanks again, Jeff
