I apologize in advance for mentioning centurion on a nautique forum. But the reason is purely wake related.
Its time to upgrade my old supersport. The main reason - needing a better surf wave. I'm willing to loose a little quality on the wakeboarding wake, which is inevitable, but I don't want to suffer too much. I will still wakeboard as much as I surf, if not more.
I would really like to stick with CC on this. I've read whats out there on the 220 surf wave and there isn't alot. I was hoping there were some new experiences that people could share. And especially if they can compare to the AVY. I know the AVY's reputation for its surf wave, and i'm going to guess it will come out the winner in that department. But by how much? Are we in different worlds, or comparing an 8/10 with a 9/10? I also couldn't see myself weighting the AVY for the comp style wave (2500lbs +) on a regular basis, so thats also something to take into consideration.
I know about the shortcomings of the AVY wakeboard wake, which is why my search is continuing.
Other random questions:
I haven't ruled out the new hull 210, but the 230 would require the deal of a lifetime due to price. Can a new 210 take sacs under the side seats? How much?
Is there anything else to consider? Is the 236 the same hull as the 230? I'm not totally clear on that one. I've seen some good vids of the 230, but also some pretty poor ones as far as surf goes. Would I be correct in assuming the difference was about 4000 pounds of weight?
I appreciate any input you may have. This decision is a very tough one. I may even be giving myself a brain aneurysm. I know I have to demo, but thats going to involve a 16 hour drive or flight across the country, so I'll take all the information I can get until that time.
