    SAN 220 vs. centurion avalanche

I apologize in advance for mentioning centurion on a nautique forum. But the reason is purely wake related.
Its time to upgrade my old supersport. The main reason - needing a better surf wave. I'm willing to loose a little quality on the wakeboarding wake, which is inevitable, but I don't want to suffer too much. I will still wakeboard as much as I surf, if not more.
I would really like to stick with CC on this. I've read whats out there on the 220 surf wave and there isn't alot. I was hoping there were some new experiences that people could share. And especially if they can compare to the AVY. I know the AVY's reputation for its surf wave, and i'm going to guess it will come out the winner in that department. But by how much? Are we in different worlds, or comparing an 8/10 with a 9/10? I also couldn't see myself weighting the AVY for the comp style wave (2500lbs +) on a regular basis, so thats also something to take into consideration.
I know about the shortcomings of the AVY wakeboard wake, which is why my search is continuing.
    Other random questions:
I haven't ruled out the new hull 210, but the 230 would require the deal of a lifetime due to price. Can a new 210 take sacs under the side seats? How much?
Is there anything else to consider? Is the 236 the same hull as the 230? I'm not totally clear on that one. I've seen some good vids of the 230, but also some pretty poor ones as far as surf goes. Would I be correct in assuming the difference was about 4000 pounds of weight?
I appreciate any input you may have. This decision is a very tough one. I may even be giving myself a brain aneurysm. I know I have to demo, but thats going to involve a 16 hour drive or flight across the country, so I'll take all the information I can get until that time.

I can't answer about the centurion, except that there is an avy on my lake and they surf all day. The way looks decent, but I was expecting more. It's really tough to judge it from 100 feet away though and I have no idea what weight they are running.

I also don't have any info on the 220, but I recently got the chance to surf (and wakeboard) behind a newer 210 and 230. I was surprised at how steep the wave on the 210 got. I've seen plenty of videos of it and it's definitely bigger in person. The pocket was a little short, but I'm sure that could be adjusted with different weight and speed. The wave on the 230 was definitely better for obvious reasons. The pocket was much longer and it had better push. I've never surfed behind the old SAN, but I have an air nautique and the 210 and 230 surf wave dwarf it in comparison (and my air nautique is practically sunk when we surf). Both the 210 and 230 have under seat storage which can be used for sacs; I'm not sure on the sizes though. The hull on the 236 is the same as the 230.

I'm having a similar problem deciding between the 210 and 230 so I feel your pain. I prefer the surf and wakeboard wake of the 230, but I'm worried it will be too big, especially coming from a direct drive air nautique.
