    Promo Boat Titles

I am starting to kick around the idea of a model year upgrade. Do the promo boat guys take title when they get their boats or do they just use the MSO? If they don't take title, how does that impact the new owner's need to get the boat titled as well as the warranty?

Most just hold the MSO. It doesn't effect the new owner at all. You just sign the MSO over to the new owner. The CC warranty is a free transfer to promo buyers. You just have to submit a document to CC. The PCM warranty transfer costs $100 I believe. Our dealer in Houston keeps the promo boats on his floor plan for our Promo guys so it's just like buying a new boat from the dealer, just at a reduced cost.

I had the same experience. I bought a 2011 promo... no title issues at all - dealer signed over the MSO's (boat & trailer). We had no warranty transfer fees at all. I don't believe the dealer had registered with Correct Craft or PCM - we filled out the original warranty registration cards for both.
