Also watch parts for sale in case they part it out. Theives aren't the smartest people in the world, so they will slip up someday. If you see amps, speakers, etc.. on craigslist check them out.

I can't imagine what the thief is going to do with a stolen boat. He can't get a title, insurance etc..
Is it financed? If so you might have gap insurance as well that will help.

      That really stinks

That's what I was thinking too. Unless it went to a private lake somewhere, it would be pretty much useless - unless parted out. Maybe a couble of boneheads stole it for a joyride around the local lake?

The overseas markets for used towboats is huge right now. I am willing to bet if it isnt recovered soon, thats where it ends up.

It is the first time I have had anything stolen bigger than an iPod. Not a lot of black 05 210s out there so hopefully it will show up somewhere! Does anyone know how easy it is to bypass the code to start it? Is there nation wide tracking if someone tries to register it that it will show up stolen? Also, Colorado does not title boats only the trailer.
Call nautiqe and let them know the boat id and what happened, that way if they call for the master code they will not get it.

Definatly report i to the police with the hull number. It will get entered into a national crime computer and anyone who runs the hull number will get a hit that the boat is entered as stolen. Same thing with the trailer's VIN number. Good Luck !!!

Just saw a post on the Minneapolis craiglist of a family just getting their '09 X2 stolen. Good idea to promote t on c-list. I've never heard of this happening, now 2 in a row. Scary!

I just searched all of Colorado's craiglist. Unfortunately no results found for anything like yours :-(

That is so stupid why someone would steal a boat out of a driveway. Or even unhook one from a mooring buoy!

What is happening now a days! Someone turned off the bilge pumps in the ski nautiques in our marina a few weeks ago. Mine was pretty full of water. But what if someone didn't come use there boat in 3 days after the bilge got shut off?? They would find there boat at the bottom...

Where did they post on CL? I figure if it doesn't go down south or over seas it will turn up. I only have 30 days till the insurance writes a check which is a good thing but doesn't give much time to find it. No gap insurance boat is paid off. Insurance is giving fair value.. But the exact boat is nearly irreplacebale and had very low hrs.

Did you see it get stolen or were you gone or what??? Shouldn't be that hard of a boat to spot!!

What are the areas around you like?

if I was a boat thief I would try and steal a CC. Especially this one.

Me too! But honestly... What do you do with it? Its not like a car and you can easily sell it.

And if this was keyless ignition, like it probably was, theres no point! I bet the thieves were expecting the keys to be left inside like every other boat and just drove off. Only to find they have no way of easily starting it!

For the more recent keypad, a new keypad solves the problem. If they have a keypad with a known code, they can just swap it out.
