ouch...enjoy your last run. This is always a bitter sweet time of the year. I love the cooler temps but I don't want to give up the boat just yet.

Is it the last run because it's getting too cool in NorCal or because this is just when you tap out for the year? I was hoping to get on the water up there in about a month with a buddy that lives up there. Will it be too cold?

I hate to say this but I'm afraid our "last run" has already happened. Fall activities for our 12 year old are rapidly consuming our weekends. That coupled with my work schedule, I think the season is over. We are actually at a regional INT tourney this weekend. At least our daughter gets to ride one more time.

Same here. My son and I are heading to the lake today to pull the boat. We had a great first year. Between tennis, golf and work schedules, I think we were lucky to put 60 hours on it. I'm sure we will have a LOT more once I let my son take it out solo. He's 17 now, very responsible and has really good instincts but I still shudder thinking about him going solo.

You should let him go solo DaveP! I have been driving my parents 95 Sport since i was 15, by myself. All you have to do is make sure he uses his common sense and is safe.

At 16 now, i put 40hrs on my SNOB in about 1.5 months from skiing only. Then i broke my ankle skiing in august so now i cant...obviously. Cant wait till October!

And they have those boater safety cards now.

Water is up, warm and weather was perfect glass everywhere and no one on the lake. With budget cut all no ski buoys are gone!!! BTW tons of water still flowing in......

end of year is due to travel, work etc.... we did talk about wet suits on the water however so you never know we could do an ice breaker in Dec!!

Happy to hear there is still water in the lakes in NorCal. I think leaving yourself the option of getting back on the water this year is a good one. Why take that away from yourself. F beautiful Saturday morning could be just what you need to inspire you to get on the water. For me, I am hopeful the weather will cooperate when I'm up that way next month.

Last run... what the heck are you talking about. If I remember, you are in Danville, the temperature today was 97 with no wind at the delta, the closest area to ski/board to your house. I am just getting warmed up. I am planning to ski all winter. I have not used my drysuit in 3 years. I am just getting the slalom boat dialed and ready for prime season this fall.

I hope to get in 3 or more weekends of skiing. My 200 has around 65h on it. I'm in Muskoka Canada where air temps at 1pm are around 65F and water around low 60's . Last weekend I used a wetsuit and this weekend the Dry may come out.
                            Come on Indian summer!!!
