North Texas and South OK lakes. Where can i ride this wknd? Sept 24-28th ??

In need of some local knowledge. Lakes are grtting to cool here but levels are nice in NW ark unlike tx I will be in north tx this wknd thru wed 28th. Just got a surfboard and really wanna give wake surf a try before winter sets. I know lakes are low in tx.

Question. Where can i put in and not worry bout damaging boat. I have no experiece with any lake obstacles there. So looking for safe place to ride. Ill be in kemp tx. Coming back up I-35 or 69 hwy. Only place i know that may be ok is eufalla or lweisville. Can anyone confirm and recomend good spots to put in at?

Lewisville is still good. Not too much further down than usual. Was about 5 ft low.

Definitely pays to know where to stay away from though....Saw a nice sand bar about 50 yrds off shore I have never seen before....

If you are going to be out this weekend, we usually head out at sunrise from Pier 121 Marina in The Colony. You are welcome to meet up w/us somewhere and we can show you safe places to ride depending on wind conditions. Putting in at East Hill Park (right by the Marina)in the Colony is still safe.

Honestly, most lakes around here are completely eff'd......

Tenkiller is best

I was just on Eufaula Saturday, and aside from being windy as heck with dirty water, I did not find it particularly enjoyable. My buddy had been there a week earlier, and his experience was the same as mine. There are better lakes not too far away.

We have been to Lake Tenkiller frequently, and it is certainly one of the best lakes in Oklahoma. Deep, fairly clear (not the best year for clarity this year due to heavy rains in the spring) and big bluffs so you can find places to ride even when the wind kicks up. If you need lodging, PM me, as I have two lake cabins for rent there as well. I have also heard Broken Bow in southeast OK is good, but have never been there myself. Right now, Tenkiller is ~5 feet down and Broken Bow is 10 feet down. Again, I would think Tenkiller to be your best bet. Put in at Tenkiller State Park on the south end of the lake. There is also Pine Cove Marina right there for overnight slip rental if you so desire.

Cedar creek has no ramps. 4 boats at the local Nautique dealer with damage. One the prop and shaft is hanging out past the platform.

Im def not going to try out cedar creek. That wS our first choice as it was close to my races

I think most of the RV camping is over on the other side of the lake, off I 35, actually not that far away from Buxton.

I should be out Sat and Sun early AM riding. Where we are will be determind by the wind....

Well dad talked to some ppl. And said lake murray is still usuable in ardmore ok. So thats where were going i guess. Thats where my family is from. And they like camping there

I would be careful out on the highland village side of lewisville, we bumped a stump there last weekend near "ski cove"

I've got a friend that usually frequents Murray and he said it was "LLLLOOOOWWWWW.....He hasn't even kept his boat there for a while now....

It is a pretty deep lake in the middle, but there are a few gnarly little fingers that point out.....

Wow. Thats all i can say about cedar creek. Im racing down here. Left my boat at parents by murray. I have never seen boat slips with boats just hanging in the air. Some were just dry beached.

I have spent this weekend weed eating the lake bottom at our house on Cedar Creek, that's not what you have in mind when you buy a "lake house."
