Super Air Nautique 230 COVERS ???

Ok - So we're about to place our order for our new 2012 SAN 230. Question is - what cover to get for this new Rig (with the below information taken into account)

My 2003 nautique 226 had a custom fit cover with snaps just below the rub rail - although it worked OK - water would still puddle at a couple areas on the cover and there is no chance in **** I am having snaps drilled into a brand new 2012 SAN 230 (call me crazy but I just couldn't do it)

We do trailer the boat but rarely travel with the cover on. Obviously not stored outside in winter. Stored outside in summer on trailer when not being used by us on the weekends....

So - what cover do I buy for a 230 SAN that will obviously have the tower etc etc ?? yet keep water out, not cause mildew/mold and provide best protection etc. etc. ??

Yeh - I clinked on that link and for sure checked it out - but I clicked on the area of their website showing what patterns they have and there isnt a word about having covers for 230'?
So I emailed the company and someone actually emailed me back just a few minutes ago saying they thought they had all CC boat patterns but no cutouts for aftermarket towers....

Does this mean they do make a cover for my 2012 SAN 230 that will obviously have the tower ? Also, any experience of this Cover Sports cover sitting on a boat over the winter (indoors not heated) and if so does where the cover touches the seat vinyl seem to cause mold/mildew issues ? -- happened on my 226 - took a good cleaning and SunBrella redid the cover for me.

ALSO -- I see you say it gets held down by clips that attach under the rub rail ....you getting any scratching from those or pulling on the rubrail too badly ?? ( I am so particular about my boat, its almost a disease my my says !!)

I would bet the pattern they have for the 230 would be correct. The 2011 and 2012 will be the same.

I got the very first one they made for a 210 with the FCT5, and it could not fit any better. Brent wasn't sure if it would be perfect or not, and offered to pay to have it modified locally if it didn't work, but it was perfect right out of the box.

As for the winter storage, I don't have any experience with that, but mine has been outside all summer covered with this cover, and there have not been any issues with the vinyl at all.

Jeff - have you seen any damage / scratches etc from the "clips" that hold the cover by attaching to the rub rail ? either to the rub rail itself or surrounding gel coat scratches ?

Not a single one, and my gelcoat is black under the rubrail.

I bought my '11 210 without investigating the cover. Dealer set me up and I have to say I hate it. I don't know the brand, but I'm dropping the boat off for winterization today so I wil ask. Mine kind of pulls over the rub rail and has built in straps that you tighten on the sides and back. The problem is if there is any wind, the darn thing blows off. It fastens around the tower so it won't come off completely, but several times I have arrived at the cottage to see part of the cover hanging in the lake.

While I have a lift with canopy, my original plan was to cover the boat when I leave to keep the bugs/spiders/birds out of the boat. That lasted about two weeks and then I just left it under the canopy. I hate it. The boat gets covered in pollen, spider webs etc. It's brand new and covers aren't cheap so I don't want to replace it after one season, but I'm going to have to look into something different for next year.
