I've been looking at that boat myself. It looks pretty good. I also have wondered what their reserve is. It's really too far away for me to honestly think about. Best of luck if you bid!

All: call and ask them the reserve. For my 206, I did and the dealer told me...that's what I bought it for. If he is happy with that in the long run, he might be happy with that today.

Dont buy it off eBay and save the dealer and yourself 20% ebay fees. Work something out between yourselves.

Call and ask for Shannon or Carl. That is my local dealer and they are very honest. I can try to swing by and look at it if need be. Shoot me a PM.

Just emailed Shannon, who asked me to post the reserve.

Is it really 20 percent? that seems a bit high.

I was going to say 18-20. 15 would be quite good in my opinion. Before everyone wanted v-drive bathtub monsters, this was an insanely popular boat. I definitely drooled at that boat. On that one, it has very similar wake characteristics to that of the 210. The space in back in the enclosure way aft, the little belly compartment, and bow triangle give you some great, right out of the box, space to stash ballast and still not see it. Whad does stink with these (and any direct drive) is the need to put weight in the center - and I despise having to climb over bags or see my gang have to do it; but its almost impossible to really slam a DD without putting tanks on either side of the engine cover. I've had some situations with this one particular 250lb douche with bad balance comes in and stands on top of them. And during that one week when the whole industry thought coverless bags were all that, I got one. Someone dropped this gargantuan HL Premiere onto my 600lb coverless and it looked like a whale was being cut up for blubber in the back of my boat. 'Yooouuuuu MORON!!!' I sad but I was talking to myself. That was it for my days of climbing around bags. It was then also that I started building wood/marine plywood/carpet enclosures.

Sorry for the long post. It is a very nice boat you're looking at there Hoss.

1.5% to 3% plus little snippets here and there.

The 20% is - uh. I don't know. I don't know how people come up with something like that but it's not correct. Maybe it was a typo.

As Erik said, it's 1.5-3% paid by the seller not the buyer. I'm sure an experienced seller will either wait for one of ebay's list it for free weeks (like I did when I sold my car last year), or will incorporate that 3% into their reserve price.

As for fees, when I looked at them yesterday, it seemed as if for boats, there was a $20 listing fee and $50 sale fee if it sold for more than $5K.

Again, I can vouch for this dealership as being a top notch group of people. So if they say the boat is in great shape, it is extremely likely (if not a certainty) that is is! For maintenance that I cannot do myself, I don't want anyone else doing work on my boat other than these guys.

Neither do I, 20k for a 98 with higher then average hours and non original graphics, that's about 6-8k high

There is a reason the bidding ended at 10k.

its 20% for smaller stuff, i guess boats are whacked differently. if its a dealer then they probably pay a fixed fee to list as many boats as they want to

I see the bidding ended at $10k, with the reserve naturally not met. It's now probably a good time to call on it, if you're still interested.
