    I have heard that in a really cold spell a drop light hung in the engine box keeps it warm and dry, thoughts? Here in the California foothills mid 20's would be a hard freeze.

      The lightbuld thing is risky. Had a friend lose 2 502's last years with an extreme heater. Lost power while he was out of town. That was in Texas. Pulling plugs is quick and fail proof.

        Good to know Joie, I figured since our cold snaps are brief it could be used over night lows,... any one else out there use one for brief periods monitored daily?

            When I winterize, I pull out the carpet and other stuff from the lockers that might attract damp air.
