    EFI/MPI reliability - Advice needed.

Does the 1993 - 1998 SN PCM 5.8 HO have the same EFI or MPI through all years?
What year motors had glitches more than others?
I am looking for the most reliable PCM EFI/MPI between 1993 and 1998

For that year range, find a GT40. Reliable and a torque beast!

Horsepower is a number measured at maximum RPM. In the case of a GT-40, 5000. You wakeboard around 2,000 to 2500 RPM.

Every engine has one speed at which it produces maximum torque. This speed is usually below 3000 RPM. To increase the horsepower of an engine, you shift the speed that it makes maximum torque higher, and that reduces the torque lower in the RPM range. You can not get something for nothing.
There is a very old saying in the hot rod field. "Horsepower sells cars. Torque wins races."

If you are only interested in Wakeboarding, and I am guessing you are a price range those boats you mentioned are, try to find a 1995 or later Super Sport, or Super Air. This hull was unchanged on the bottom, from 1995 to 2007. This is the hull that earned the reputation the Super Air has.

It you get a 1993 to 1998 Correct Craft boat, you want the GT-40.
As always, take any boat for a good long test drive before you buy. Ideally, try to ski or ride behind it.

I believe the 94 and 95 have the throttle Body Injection which if you search here will show it had some problems. 96 on had the Mulit-port injection which is much more reliable. However you also need to search on Pro-tec ignition. I believe it was used 94-96 and has also proved somewhat unreliable.
