    Perfect Pass No RPM

Hello, I have an 06 SV-211 and my perfect pass was working however, the RPM quit reading and therefore it does not work anymore. I have checked for power at the gateway of 9v but there was no voltage there. I also checked for power at the engine block where the perfect pass pugs in and also no power. I have called Perfect Pass about this problem and all they have told me is that I need to get power where the harness plugs into the motor. Has anyone had this problem before?

    Thanks
    Cheelo

    No.

But do you have the testing procedure documentation?

The only documentation I have for the testing procedure is the Users guide to Perfect Pass that came with the purchase of the Nautique. It has common problems and what is possibly going wrong with the perfect pass system however, it dose not have anything about how Perfect Pass is hooked up to the motor. So I'm not really sure what to do here.

I am guessing you have a 2006 DBW engine / perfect pass. You should download the Instruction manual which is also on this WEB site. But for trouble shooting your current problem. http://www.perfectpass.com/troublesh...tCraft2006.pdf

I believe that is the test I'm talking about. Never done it...but if I had trouble, that would be the first step.

As a quick check, look at the wires within the harness connectors, and make sure they're making contact with the connector itself. I had this problem with my PPSG, and ended up soldering the wire ends to the connectors. You'll be amazed at how wimpy the attachements are.
