    sportnautique - -

I just came back from touring factory on Thursday, (for more than anything to see all the colors in person) before placing my order for a 2012 SAN 230 Team Edition. As many others have said on here, it really depends on how you are going to use the boat - for me it was an was an easy decision. Although I started competitive skiing at age 8 and went on to a full scholarship for college for skiing and so on and so forth - these days I have two children ages 8 and 6 and its more about hanging out with friends, wake boarding, tying up in groups etc., so for us it was the 230 HANDS DOWN. The seating configuration, the storage etc etc makes the 230 an EASY choice for our family.

I still have had no problems skiing behind a 230 (friends boats, as we had a 226 previously), although the wake on a 230 is not like that behind a competition nautique, the wake behind a 210 isnt going to be either, so for all the reasons ive already mentioned and more - - I vote for the 230.

You can most definitely ski behind the 230 - - but again, its not going to be like skiing behind a Nautique tournament boat. Let me put it a different way, if you are looking to do competitive slalom skiing - run into 32-35-38-39.5 off, then a 230 is NOT the boat for you. But if you are looking for maximum storage, family fun, a great tubing, wake boarding, wake surfing, hanging out of the lake with friends boat - then a 230 will fill that bill and more.

I dont have a video of regular skiing behind a 230, sorry

We have the 2010 230. Two other families usually go with us and there are 15 bodies if we all can go. If we want to ski we limit the boat to 4 people and the rest stay on the shore, tanks are empty, gate is down, and people are not in the back. The wake crossing is OK but hard and we are pushing everone to higher speeds which helps....But with all of us in it, boarding, surfing and skating are fantastic!
