    A 210 vs 230 post...getting mixed opinions!!!

What's up guys...this is my first post on here! I have been lurking for a while reading up on all of your opinions. I am switching over to a Nautique from a 2011 Tige RZ2 and a 2012 Centurion Enzo SV230+ and wanted to get some more opinions.

With space in the boat not being a concern of mine...how different are the wakes between the sante 210/230? A few of my buddies that ride for CWB claim the 210 wake is not as good, but others say its sick??? So what are your opinions? As you can tell from my other two boats we surf quite a bit and I am very familiar with the wave behind a Nautique...just not the wake.

The two boats I am deciding between are both 2011's...the only difference is length and $7,000.00! Thanks in advance and looking forward to being a true member of planetnautique!

If your CWB rider is Joey he just has a thing for the 230. I pull an ex CWB rider (my BIL) and he owns a 210 and prefers it over the 230. But the 230 has a great wake and unless you are throwing 720's back to back you will not tell a differance (Just my opinion)

haha no i havent pulled joey, BUT i did buy his excursion! I am good friends with the Faction Team guys on Lewisville and Ray Roberts...they all gripe about the 210 for some reason. Most seem to love it though...

230 throws a nice wake, I think the 210 has a better double up. You won't go wrong with either. Don't know any of the Faction Crew, used to ride with wake outlaws a few times. I'd be surprised if you have pulled Joey I think he's scared of the water now days. I can see myself in a 230 with no problem because of space, but wake wise I will always have a 210.

Weird - i often hear people in 230's prefer the 210's. I love them both but Fact is -the 210's IS cleaner.
how does this look to you? my 210's wake with only about 1500 above factory ballast

All the pics in my album are factory wake, but i've seen Justin do a back roll off a passing boats (Supra) wake so he is kinda not a normal rider.

From what I've heard from people the 210 wake is less temperamental. Both will be great. I say save the 7k and put in a nice system and take the left overs and save it or pay your mortgage.

Dont know a ton about the 210 wake, for us its purely an interior layout game - the way the 230 is laid out with the walk through to get people to the platform and the additional room is worth the extra $$ and functionality to me.

im curious, why are you getting rid of the tige? have you surfed behind a 210 or 230? how do they compare to the rz2 and enzo?

Thanks for the response guys...and johnboyy I have surfed behind several nautiques quite a few times. The wave behind them is awesome when you weight them right. My RZ2 put out a good wave on both sides with the factory surf ballast package. It was extremely easy to switch from one side to the other with the touch of the screen unlike a lot of boats where additional weight is needed. The Centurion puts out the best wave I have ever seen on the regular side, BUT can't produce that great for a goofy rider (which I am) unless you get what they call a 'goofy boat'.

I am leaning towards the 210 for a few reasons...

1.) I am tired of having the big nice boat that 10-12 people want to climb in...not being unsocial here, but gas piles up and so does wear and tear.
2.) After 4 knee surguries on my left knee I don't need the biggest wake.
3.) Wakeskating is a lot better on my knee, and I have read that the 210 is the boat of choice for wakeskating.
4.) 21.6 is lees to clean than 23-24ft!
5.) Saving the 7-8k is enough to put a sick system in plus get my extra ballast plumbed in.

Based on what you wrote, it sounds like the 210 would be best for you. I love my 230 because of the space, the walk-through transom, the hidden trash can, the Igloo cooler under the seat, the awesome wake (can be a little fickle) and the better ride in rougher water. But when it comes time to clean it, I dread that moment every time. My last boat was a 210 and it seems to take twice as long to clean my 230 vs my 210. But the only reason I have my 230 rather than my old 210 is because I got a SMOKING deal on it last year. It was a new '08 that needed to be moved or the bank was coming to get it. I say save the $7k and get the 210 and put in the sweet sound system and plumb in the extra ballast with the $$$ you save.

the reasons you listed are legitimate and sound, having the opportunity to own both my pick is for the opposite reasons as yours. roomier for more people , takes extra weight with no problem, also rides much better when weighted, primary a wake board boat first, surfing and then wake skate. use my seadoo wake pro most of the for skating . I enjoyed the 210 but when weighted handle like you have weight, the 230 you can't tell.

I will agree it is a wonderful problem to have! I'm glad it's getting closer to winter because the deals are out there now, BUT when I get the new boat I am going to want to hit the H2O. Guess I'll get my wet suits ready...
