Must have been one of the computer/IT guys did the numbering...so they could track them in the ether or something. They are the only folks I know that start counting at zero.

I bet in the economy of 4 - 5 years ago, these would have all been sold at the announcment. I would have bought one in a heartbeat and was checking each year (up to about 2009) for that "special edition" Nautique to upgrade from my '04 196 but never found a reason to upgrade. Now, i just can't do it and will keep my '04 and be happy. Congrat's to all those that get one of these boats, you are lucky. I don't think they will keep their value much more than any other 200 but will always be something special.

I don't know. I kind of think this boat might hold some extra value as a collector's item as time goes on. They were smart this time and are only making a small number of them. They have some cool features that can only be had on this boat, and it just plain looks cool.

Sorry, I guess I didn't explain well. I think they will always be proportionately worth more than a regular 200 but just not sure, in the first few years, if they will depreciate any slower than any other 200. Over time, they will hold better value but not to the $70K plus purchase price. I agree, this would be a boat to have, if you can, especially with the bad a** ZR450 but I bet you're pushing excess of $80K optioned out.

I am not a skier at all. But for my own curiosity, I am interested to know how you can get a 1 1/2 @ xxx off?
I understand the scoring system, but cannot get my head around 1/2 a bouy..???

As an investment, you would need to purchase and the leave it sit. I can't do either of those.
