Buying 1995 or 1996 Super Sport - Questions!

Hey guys I am hoping to upgrade from my 1989 Ski Nautique this week possibly to a 95 or 96 Super Sport. I was planning on buying a Super Air but I have found a couple deals that I dont think I can pass up.

I plan on installing PP Stargazer and fully auto ballast system. I was hoping you guys could fill me in on some info:

I noticed the whole bow is one big cushion. Can you remove this to install a integrated or triangle bow sac?

Is the storage much different when comparing to a SAN? I am coming from a SN2001 so I know it is going to be night and day difference but I am just wondering if there is storage under all the wrap around seats? I would just need storage for boat safety gear, life jackets, anchor etc and daily boating stuff

Has anyone ever built or bought the divider walls that around found in newer vdrives so the fat sacs do not touch the engine?

Before buying this is there anything I should be looking for before purchasing also?

    Thanks!

About the front bow cousin, yes it in one big piece. But if you pull it up, there should be a little hatch under it that allows you to get to the very front of the boat in the storage area. Its like that in my 98 Ski nautique so i believe they all have it. There is a lot of room up there.

Check out my links in the signature... I have a 95 SS Vdrive... My first boat and I love it! The bow cushion is one-piece triangle called Playpen pad. if you lift it up (its about 3 in think)... there is a small hatch under it. this is there because on this model the entire bow is storage under the playpen. it does not have a "walkin" bow like later models (that use filler cushion). The bow storage area is accessed thru the swingup spotter seat. Wakemakers sells a triangle bow sac that would fit under this area, that you would plum with a johnson pump and switch however you like. But you want to make sure you add a overfill drain, since the bow sace would fill taller than the playpen storage height. Just stop the pump when you see the water exit the overflow drain, so you dont put added pressure on the roof (floor) of the playpen. the sacs are taller than the storage limit, but it can be done. I run a 650 ski locker sac in the ski locker, but have not needed to add a bow sac. The wrap seating in rear all has storage underneath, but it is very limited in height, maybe for 1-2 life jackets in height, but I put all my towels, ropes, some life vests, paddle, etc... under those seats... actually this boat does have a lot of storage. Also, I rebuilt my rear locker dividers to be taller ( all the way to top).. so I can run my 750 fat sacs without worry that they will touch any part of the engine... easy rebuild. use 1/2" ply, outdoor carpet and spray glue... see my signature picks for that too... Buy the boat and never look back...! the 95SS has same hull as $40K 2006 SAN.... minus the fancy new shiny things.
