Spare tire mounting on a Ramlin Trailer

Ok, I can't seem to find or at least decide where and how I should mount my spare tire on my Ramlin trailer. I am towing a 2007 SV211 on an O7 Ramlin tandem.
What spare tire holder or mount do you guys suggest and where is the best place to put it?

I have not tried calling them, but if you go to their website, its made very clear that they don't deal with owners or direct to the public. i did however leave a question. Let's see what kind of response i get. thanks

I bought the ramlin spare tire carrier thru a CC dealer and was very happy with it as it was vastly superior to any of the generic after market units you can buy online or at a local Marine store.

They do usually respond to technical email questions and can tell you exactly what to order....then you find a dealer to handle if for you. I did this for a different part. You could easily handle the transaction through nautiqueparts.com and the part drop ships to you from Ramlin.

On the mount, I have an extra mount I bought with my new trailer (bought two spares for the 1000 mile trip and the loose one came with the bracket). I've considered selling it and still have no idea why I would need to keep it...but I've kept it.

For location, there is only one really...especially if you have the swing tongue.

If I really pulled the boat long distances like some of you guys do, Ideally I would:

Not have the swing tongue
Mount the jack forward of the stop pad/winch
Mount two spares, one on each side similar to the one shown in the pic. See all my pics from the last time this topic came up.

I use the same spare mount as shown here. Works great, except on really steep launch ramps, the tire can hit the rub rail on my super air. Otherwise it works perfect.

I've always wondered if there was a scenario where it would hit.

Also note it inhibits the tongue to swing around (to some extent).

It might also inhibit sharp turns/backing but I've never had a problem. If i do need to go extra sharp...I try to favor the other side.

One other note. It is very strong....you can set the boat down on the tire w/o using the jack. (Don't ask how I know this.)

Airtool, I've also considered for some adding a mount, IF you wanted to part w/ your extra, what would you want shipped to God's Country up here in the PNW? My DHM trailer is 2" x 4" frame, looks the same as your Ramlin.

Thanks to all, it seems i have found my answer.
Also in reference to my question about the prop cage. I spoke with Heather from Ramlin, another good sign that i bought the right trailer. She actually called me in response to my email to Ramlin.
They do sell a rear crossmember that can replace the stock on our trailers. HOWEVER you do have to go through a CC dealer and have them order it. I called Candlewood East up here in CT, they can order it, approximate cost $325 plus shipping. However i asked if i order and wait until their next trailer delivery in the spring the cost for shipping will drop considerably. So that is what I plan on doing.
I did ask Heather if i could get a group buy together for the prop cage replacement. NO go, well at least i tried.
