    Zero Off Perfect pass upgrade

Anyone done this? Have my boat for sale currently. but not real sure if i want to go through with it. 210 is to small 230 is a bit outa my price range. Getting my seats fixed currently for about a grand and seeing what it would cost to get the Zero off put in my boat. I think i will be happy keeping her another season if i can. Talked to a dealer this weekend told me it would be about 2 grand to have it installed. I think thats a bit rediculous. Is this true? again anyone done this?

Boats an 07 220 if that helps.

I've just installed a PerfectPass Wakeboard in my '86 Martinique and took about 2 1/2hrs. Mainly because there is some non-standard wiring and took time to figure out some connections. Also the throttle linkage is non-standard (boat is on Propane) and I had to make an adapter for the 'carb' linkage.

Given that a PerfectPass is $1200 for a mechanical kit and less for DBW, how does he justify $800 for fitting?

$2k for ZO in an '07 is probably about right. The ECU will need to be flashed, plus you're roughly $1,500 in ZO itself. PP is considerably easier, and cheaper to install in your boat. I put Stargazer in my '07 for a total of $275. I bought a new display, and bought a used SG master module off of ski-it-again. 1/2 of my time, and I was back on the water.

WOW how silly am i? Just realized PP and ZO were two totally different companies. Stargazer looks to be the way to go. Was the upgrade a night and day difference?

I'm delirious from jury duty (yikes). But isn't there some kind of pseudo ZO software upgrade coming out from PP this or next month? I read it on their site the other day. I can't remember if it is for throttle by wire only or what. Can't check now.

I think Stargazer would be great for your use, plus there will be a ZO simulator for it out soon. Strictly from a slalom standpoint, I like them all. I was very happy with SG, as the pull was consistent and smooth. Do you currently have PP Digi Pro in your boat?

Yes, Its the digital pro. I actually found the kit on ski-it-again for 200, but the seller has not yet replied.

Your Stargazer upgrade will literally take you 5 minutes, already having PPDG installed. One cool feature on SG is it gives you a clock in the dash!

Another Quick question. I talked to a pp dealer that's a friend of a friend a few mins ago. Told him how bad my pass was working now and he thinks there may be something else wrong. My symptoms are as follows.

As soon as the pass engages it immediately pulls out, as if I pulled the throttle to neutral. the boat slows down to about 13 and the system then goes back to throttle position. It then speeds back to target and does the same thing again. Im talking 24 to 13 over and over and over. The actual throttle never moves. It did this about a year ago too. I did nothing just never used till one day I tried again and it worked perfectly. Now after about another season its doing it again.

Will the SG upgrade fix this or do you think there something else wrong?

Has anyone else delt with this?

SG will fix this, since it's an entirely new master module. Digi Pro actually resides in your Faria gateway, assuming your boat is a Limited or Team. If it's an SE, you'll simply be swapping master modules. Either way, it's simple.
