Its almost laughable people continue to talk about this. See my previous post, to summarize ITS A SCAM.

Same story about living in Seattle, but when I contacted him the boat was in Minnesota. He claimed he owned a restaurant and wanted to open another one. I kept egging him on until he wanted me to pay for the boat by forwarding money to an online account without actually seeing the boat.

Just to clarify one more time, its a scam.

That's what I started doing after a while too. He leotards saying airfare to fly back to Minnesota was expensive, so I offered to buy his ticket. The emails stopped at that point haha!

Mattie was correct all along - - I just got another email from the scammer: (here it is word for word):

"Hi there , the boat is in good condition ,no damages ,no scratches, scrapes, cracks no minor or major problems.I can meet with you after 10th of November when i will come home.I already have few people interested in buying my boat, and i will prefer to finish the deal online.I had purchase a car in the past and i have use Amazon Payments as payment method, they act like a escrow. You can find more details here : www.amazon.payments-protection.com"

Its a shame there are people out there like this guy, scamming people --

Im still going to jerk the guy around as much as I can until he stops replying or I get bored, whichever comes First.....LOL - - nice work Mattie

I also replied to this add but I think that this guy knows my number now and didn't reply. The amazon payments thing has been going around the used boat market for the last few months that I have been shopping for a boat. I figure it doesn't hurt to check on deals that are too good to be true as long as my eyes are wide open. It can be fun to jerk them around a little on the way. Maybe you can tie them up long enough to save some other poor sap from getting scammed.

This scam must be working on someone because it is still out there. I received the following email from the guy two days ago:

The boat is in Statham, GA. I attached more pictures. They were recently taken and the boat hasn`t been used since. First owner, fresh water use only, 65 hours, no mechanical issues, clear title, stored indoors, maintenance receipts.

I`m out of state with business: I own some summer cabins near Houghton Lake, MI, just bought a few more and the renovation keeps me busy. To sell the boat, I'll need to travel home, so please let me know if you are seriously interested.

                Thanks,
                Joshua Adelstein

The guy's name even changes and of course he want me to put 32K in a PayPal account.
