Best options for a 200

Oh something else, and it's very important... Find out more about that rec prop. Many owners of the 2011 including myself have complained about the standard prop, which was apparently chosen to be able to pull jump tournaments. But it revs way too high, resulting in very noticable fuel consumption increase (some say 30%) and increased noise levels.

So, many owners have ended up changing the prop for another 500$.

Look into this further, and if the rec prop is the one that is usually chosen as the alternative, then go for it. Not sure what prop it is exactly, but I think it is what they used on 196's as well as most other ski boats. There are plenty of threads on the internet about this, just Google it...

Same options I have on my boat short of a bimini top. After 1 year and a 100 hours there are no options that I wished I had added. The only thing that I would like to have had was air and water temp. The only way to get for MY11 was to go with the Linc system that I did not want. I'm old school and still like to look at real gages.

I'm sure you will enjoy the boat.

On our 2011, we would have enjoyed the air and water temp if available on the SE but are also old school and don't want the additional upfront expense and maintenance expenses of the Link later on (understand keyless is coming as standard equip on the 2012 SE; hope this is not true or wish it wasn’t).

What we will most probably get on the next boat is a heater because of resale. It’s available and not much $$$ (about $400 I think).

While everyone likes the various options for different reasons, and thats fine - what I dont understand, or am perplexed by, are the references to saving a few hundred $$'s here and there by foregoing some options in reference to savings money...

When ordering a new Nautique, you are spending $80, $90, $100K or more...if there's an option you like and its $400, $500 even $1K - is that really going to make that much of a difference in your final sales price vs. the enjoyment or resale attractiveness of having that option(s) ?

My only concern with the Linc is if u tap the screen in the same spot for years how will that screen look when it comes time to sell. I'm a used boat buyer I would notice something like that.

zero off is integrated into the link 2, there are no separate controls for ZO. Link 2 is not touch screen, it looks like it is and I actually did touch it for controls a few times on our first outing but it is navigated by the buttons on the sides of the unit so no fear that it will look worn in a few years. If you have a boat with ballast the link 2 is really quite nice as you can store ballast and speed settings for riders then with one touch set the boat up for that rider.

That makes me feel better, no touch screen. I know MC is and that has to wear over time.

ZeroOff is only fully integrated on the wakeboard boats. On the 200, you still have a ZeroOff head unit. (Early on the plan was to do away with the head unit and integrate into LINC, but that has been put on hold for 2012)
