    Best options for a 200

I have just placed an order for a 200, woohoo. The order can be changed up until the end of December. Since I have some time to change my mind I was wondering what are the must have options on the boat. Currently I have the following- Open Bow, ZO, 409 engine(I'm at high altitude 4,500ft and 6,500 ft),Analog gauges, pop out cleats, Heater, four speaker stereo, Love seat extension, Walk-thru air-dam. Are there any other options that are a must on this boat. I am wondering about the Link system, it's about a $2,000 upgrade.

I'd certainly opt for the Team Package if it were me.

Are you going with or without a tower ?

The rest depends on your type of "use" for the boat - -

Same options I have on my boat short of a bimini top. After 1 year and a 100 hours there are no options that I wished I had added. The only thing that I would like to have had was air and water temp. The only way to get for MY11 was to go with the Linc system that I did not want. I'm old school and still like to look at real gages.

I'm sure you will enjoy the boat.

The deluxe oversize mirror is nice. It comes with an extension arm that raises it enough to not be in your line-of-site when the boat is off-plane. You didn't mention a cover, the factory cover is now a really nice cover. Fits perfect, no straps or snaps, ratchet to tighten, sucks down when towing. Enjoy the new boat, you will love it!

No. I don't think there is anything else. The team edition offered the keyless ignition. So I would be a benefit to upgrade the package. But now with the 12's being all keyless I cant see any reason to upgrade. I myself just ordered my 12 promo boat and I went from the team package to the nautique package just like you ordered. The only plus to a team package is the radio in a bit better. Everything you have in your package the team edition has just in one screen.

Does the 2012 now have air and water temp on the standard "nautique" edition. Also on the design your nautique web page it lists a recreational prop as an option. Does anyone know what that is?

Yes it does have an air water temp. It is in the center of the dash in front of the steering wheel. I don't know anything about a rec prop but I would stay away from it.

I would think from a strictly resale stand point doing the team edition adds real value -- I know all the points of you can add this and that - but there are many buyers that aren't going to buy unless is a 'team edition'

The radio is a bit better?? does it finally have blue tooth or is it the still same old piece of junk clairion?? Ive had the same p.o.s. clarion in my last three new boats. my clarion in my '10 200 went to the garbage right away

If I were you, I'd go to my dealership and play around with a Linc 2. There are so many cool features built it. I agree with CCS that it's a resale plus as well. I know I'd only buy TE, but I dig technology - not very old school I guess.

I will mainly be in the course with the boat so a tower is out for me. I am planning on having a cover and Bimini made for the boat. I think I can do both for the cost of one item from Nautique. I am on the fence with the Linc system. It is about $2 grand more and I am nervous about it's reliability. Does it really add resale value? I think it's cool but I question whether anyone else would.

There has been some discussion on future reliability of the Linc, but no real horror stories to date. LCD technology has been around a long, long time, so I wouldn't worry about the screen. The Linc memory is upgradable, so it shouldn't be any more difficult than adding new software to your computer, should something go wrong. Before using a Linc, I wouldn't have cared so much. After, I'd have to have it. You've pretty much decked out your boat. Might as well go all the way!

Now if one is using the boat as a tractor on a private lake, maybe it's not necessary?

My 2010 OB200 has the Linc system. I am not sure I would have ordered it this way but I sure do like it!

Was there last year. I decided against the LINC, pretty much for the reasons above. Didn't see value in the extra $$, was unsure if any of it's extra features would be on interest to me, plus I prefer the look of the analog guages and true "hands on" control for all the systems (stereo, etc...).

Another downer was the fact that LINC did not integrate the Zero Off controls, so I felt they had missed a big point.

Speaking of options, didn't read the whole thred, but a heater is always important, and in my case I did add a tower. Did't think I'd use it at forst, but turned out to be a very big feature for the family... And me!

Best of luck as you work through these "very difficult" choices. And congrats on your 200. It's the best boat ever, and I'm sure you'll be thrilled with it no matter what options y decide to get.
