Martinique

Hello everyone! I am new here as you probably can tell, but i do post at EndofRopeGang.com if any of you are familiar with it. It is a great site, especially for wakeboarders, but it is focused in the NC VA area. Anyways, I am looking at a 1974 correct craft marintique that is in good condition. I was wondering if anyone knows how well these do when they are changed into wakeboarding boats, and, just out of curiousity, if you can get into the bow of the boat, if it is a closed bow, to add weight without much trouble. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Marintique

Its a "Martinique" closed bow from your description. If i recall my CC Evolution, the Martinique hull was the basis for the Nautique Excel (XL). The XL evolved into the first Super Sport wakeboard boat. In theory, it ought to be good. Think the closed bow has 2 side pads, good only for resting BUT has a middle vacant area (for a sack ). OF

Here's a link to the EORG thread for anyone interested. This should make a fine wakeboarding boat. According to the other thread, the engine was recently rebuilt by White Lake, so there shouldn't be any worries there. White Lake is the oldest Correct Craft dealership in the world, so they should know what they're doing.

BTW, I changed the thread topic from Marintique to Martinique to avoid confusion.

Sorry about the misspelling there, i wasnt sure how to spell it, so i guessed marintique, cause it sounded sort of like nautique. My dad called White Lake to check up on it, and they said it was basicly a new engine; they put a brand new block in, and refurbished the rest, i guess. I am sure that this is the boat for me; its just a mater of the $$$$.

We just discovered a Correct Craft Southwind in Garner for about the same price and probably in better condition. How would this boat do for wakeboarding? It said that it was heavier, so i thought it might have a better wake. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
