    Tower options for 97 Ski

Will be putting a tower on my 97 Ski and would like to see some others that have done the same. Want to know what options are available and would love to see some pics with towers installed. No I'm not a wakeboarder, I mostly hydrofoil but also come from a slalom and barefoot background. The tower is a must for foiling.

    Cheers

Here are some pics of my 95 Ski with a monster tower, whatever tower you get make sure you get black to match the trim of your boat.

      FCT's

Has anyone put a FCT on a SN? what kind of modifications are needed to the tower and to mounting points in the boat to avoid any stress cracks or spidering.

You can put an FCT on the Ski Nautique but it takes some tweeking of the tower to get it to fit right. I would recommend going with skylon or even Titan. The monster tower is not a bad option either especially for the price.

If you want the FCT look, look into New Dimention Towers. I'm 3/4 of the way through installing one on my '94 ski.
I believe the owner used to own the company that made the towers for supra/moomba, and mastercraft boats or somthing. He left it and started New Dimention.
They are a little pricy, but by the time you finish modifying a FCT, you may be better off.
If the glass is 3/8 of an inch, you should be good to go, but it never hurts to glass in some re-enforcement. Use some good size backing plates to distribute the force over a greater area.
Measure 4-5 times, drill once! countersinc (sp?) the holes around the top, to minimize the chances of spider cracking comming from the bolts exerting force on the gel coat.
I'll try to post some more pics when I get back in town and finish my glassing work.

Here's a Monster Tower on My 95 SN. It's the racks are nice for keeping boards and ski's off the floor. The tower folds down in a minute for storage in the garage or putting a standard cover on. Install was not hard, and the support team a Monster is A1.

Here's my tower from Wakeair in Roseville Ca. They redesigned tbe brackets to fit my bimini top that I already had. (saved me 700 bucks on a new one) They also installed the lights and speakers too. I'd recommend them w/out a doubt.

Bradb, thats a very good option, i wasnt aware of New Dimension. Just like a FCT but it fits. Priced just like one too. I will be looking forward to hearing how it turns out.

                    New tower installed

After checking out quite a few options for towers, most of which came from seeing photos on this site, I purchased and installed a black Monster Tower today on my 97 Ski. It looks (and performs) very well. Install was pretty straight forward. The thickness of the hull where I mounted the Monster Paws was thicker than the minimum required by Monster, so I didn't do any fibre glass work. Will keep my eyes on each mount and if necessary reinforce with some figre glass.

I don't yet have a photo as we rushed to get the boat in the water today after the install and take a couple of rides. Will post a photo as soon as I can.

Thanks to everyone for their contributions and suggestions in this thread.
