    Ballast pump output pressure? Syrup?

Anyone know the output pressure of any of the ballast pumps out there (Jabsco, Tsunami, etc)? I own the Jabsco (3 of them) and a Tsunami for my boat ballast but the boat is in storage or I would test them myself. I am hoping to find a pump that puts out 50 or so psi consistently to use for making maple syrup. Less than 40psi and it won't pump and over 60 it ruptures the filter. I know this is an odd question but wishing myself luck.

    Thanks

I think that the size of the pipe will also have an affect on PSI so some more investigation is probably in order.

i see a very low chance of those pumps getting past 10 psi.

I just checked two pumps on the website. One delivered 7 gpm at max pressure of 8 psi.

The other had a max pressure of 15 feet which is 6.5 psi.

Search the site for your model number and read the data sheet.

They also have a link to food service pumps....note 50 psi is quite high for a cheap pump. You might also consider a relief valve to prevent blowing your filter.

Food service material and grease might be good if you are going to eat this stuff.
