I would appreciate thoughts on the 2006 SANTE tower with respect to durability and failure history. I drove one this past Saturday and found the shaking and flexing of the tower in only a moderate chop very disconcerting. I have never seen that in any other of the Correct Craft towers on boats I have driven, and am really concerned about the structural integrity of that tower. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

2006 SANTE Tower Seems Flimsy

Thanks for the quick reply
Man, that was quick - thanks. I am in Evans, GA, but this is a boat I was test driving this boat in NC with the intent to purchase. It is the 2006 camo "SANTE advertised in the for sale forum by White Lake back in July of this year - there's a picture there. The owner has since retrieved it and I am dealing with him.
I believe that is the Correct Craft tower for that year - of course I could always be wrong. I have seen comments about it being ugly/too busy, but nothing about what I observed. I checked the welds and the tower for stress indications before I went out, but I must admit that I did not check that the two hold-down bolts were tight in their cups - I know they were snug, but I did not put much pressure on them. It's never too late to have a happy childhood.....

2006 SANTE Tower Moves
Thanks, sjames. I had driven Nautiques with 1998, 2000 and 2001 towers, and they did not move. I did not buy the boat - it had lots of issues. However, this is a plausible explanation, so it may help someone else searching the site for this particular tower problem. It's never too late to have a happy childhood.....
