I hoping to find out how people are putting the extra bow weight in their 2012 230's since the belly tank is no longer split. I was hoping to use water weight and keep it hidden. Has anyone put a fat sac in front of the belly tank in the bow? I am in the process of planning my wakesurf ballast install project for over Christmas and any input would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe the new Arrow Sac by Fly High? I've heard it adds some serious weight and it keeps it down low in the hull which is what you want for better handling. I use the Fly High tube sac in the ski locker of my 2008 210 followed by the integrated bow sac up under the front seats...its the perfect amount for my 210, but probably wouldn't cut it for a 230.

The issue is the 2012 230 does not have a ski locker(split belly tank) so it would need to be something like the arrow sac without the "tail". The belly tank would have to be pulled then a sac put in then the belly tank re-installed. I am not so sure on the dimensions of the area in front of the belly tank. I believe previous 230 did have ski lockers am I right? If so does anyone know the length of the split tanks in the past 230, as this would help me approximate a measurement based on the flyhigh arrow sac. The belly tank in the 2012 230 is 60" give or take.

J-Royal,
Sorry for the late response. Yes, I am tying those two front sacs into the belly overflow. First I tried just running the integrated sac with the belly tank overflow and it was not enough front weight since it does not fill competely (not enough space under the seats). With both 400lbs Fly High sacs full in the rear and the integrated sac as full as it would get (would say probably 2/3rds full (~350-400lbs), the front would porpoise and never settle down (343 engine, stock Team Prop, stock Zero Off set-up). Then I talked to a Nautique rep at the Knoxville, TN PWT Tour stop and he said that the new 210s closed up the ski locker (no more U shaped belly tank) like Tyler230's (above) boat to get more weight up front so you could just get away with the integrated sac. He said I have two options....upgrade my prop, Zero Off antenna, and Zero Off software or just plumb in the Fly High tube locker sac (about 350lbs full) and that would bring it down. So for $120 bucks, I put the tube sac in between the belly tank and integrated sac, now its perfect. No porpoising, planes out no problem and the wake is money.
Hope this helps.
