Tank Overflow Control

I am looking at adding some additional weight to my 2008 210. I am looking to possibly adding the arrow bow sack and two 450s in the rear. . I would like to have the additional sacs tied into the overflow from the stock tanks but want the the option to not fill the sacs. Also, would give me some flexibility for filling the sacs on either side for surfing.

I understand that I will have to hit the fill/empty buttons again because of the time limiter on the Jabsco pumps but am curious if others have done it and how they have it plumbed. I am thinking that I will have to have 2 or 3 ball valves for each bag. Any ideas?

I dont have it on my boat, but being I have been in the plumbing supply biz for the last 20 years I have been roped into helping a friend do it. Plumb the vent into the sac, tee off that to the vent. Use ball valves to "cut the sac out of the loop" if needed. Problem is when its time to fill you have to open and shut so many valves it look like you are getting the space shuttle ready for launch. I was going to build a manifold sytem to stream line it a few years ago but didnt.

If your fat sac has 2 inlets per sac: Disconnect the hose that goes from the factory tank to the outside overflow on the side of boat (disconnect the end that goes to the side of the boat). Plumb that into one of the fat sac inlets. Take the other fat sac inlet and plumb that to the overflow in the side of boat. No valves needed.

When you fill the factory tanks, they will overflow into the fat sac. When the fat sac is full, it will overflow out of the boat like it did in the factory configuration. When you drain the tanks, the fat sac will gravity feed back into the factory tank as it empty's. As you mentioned, you will need to cycle the pumps several times to fill and drain.

Hint: use the inlet on the fat sac that is lowest in the boat to go to the factory tank so when it gravity drains the fat sac will completely empty.

The way I talked of setting it up was have a factory fill system with the ability to fill sac if needed. With the way I plumbed it u didn't have to go look if u over filled factory.

I have my rear tanks set up this way, fills the factor tanks and then fills the fat sacs. I have 400lbs bags on each side and I have to hit the pump switch once after it stops to get the bag full. I plan on adding the arrow bag I bought and have it fill the same way.
