Tower on 99 Pro Air Nautique - Problems?

Just discovered this site, so I hope I am not rehashing an old topic. If so, please direct me to the previous posts that cover this topic . . .

I am the proud owner of a 99 Pro Air, which has treated us great since buying it in 2000. However, I have heard rumors that other owners have had problems with the towers from that year - bending and breaking under large loads. Has anyone else experienced this or heard similar stories?

On the similar note, does anyone know of an after-market tower that fits onto the 99 Pro Air without modifying the mounting brackets? If so, please pass the information along . . .

Love the site by the way. Looking forward to this summer . . .

I bought a 99 pro air 1 year ago. The owner before me had issues with the tower while it was still under warranty...so correct craft installed a new 2001 tower.

I have heard of others having problems with the 99 and older Flight Control towers. I would suggest having a correct craft dealer install a new FCT on your boat. You could go with Monster tower but it will not look nearly as good as a FCT in my opinion
