If you could get rid of the straps, I think it would look and sell a lot better. Also, if there was a way to extend the bimini back towards the rear of the boat a little more, that would be nice too. Just a couple suggestions.2008 Super Air Nautique 210TE

instalation and price
The answer to how the top is installed. There are two side mount hinges that mount on the inside front leg of the tower parallel with the cross brace where the board racks are and two eye straps that mount on the lower part of the tower. This installation has a total of eight #10 SS screws. The hinges have thumbscrews for quick disconnect. It takes us about 30 min. to install the top, after installation it takes less than five min. to take off or put out for use. The bimini is attached to the framing with zippers. It's very user friendly and can be modified to fit any tower boat.
The retail cost for most of the tops is $650.00 plus shipping, if the top has to use a rear frame like on a 226 the price is $775.00 plus shipping. Retailers should call for pricing
For the people who are quality minded, which I find that most Nautique Owners are, We use only the best materials that are on the market today, 16 gauge Polished and Buffed tubing, SS fittings and screws make up the framing and Sunbrella fabric corrosion resistant zippers and 21 PSI polyester thread, 18oz psy Vinyl Laminated Polyester along the back side of the top to prevent the rope from wearing on the bimini.
If there are any more questions, please let me know.

Thats a real cool Idea. I think the shape need's to be worked on. But the Idea is awesome. Everything about it makes sence. How it folds out of the way of the speakers and how it folds down with the the tower, And how it gives you more head room. The straps can be removed just by changing the the style of clamps on the front down bar. And the back of the Bimini I think would look better if it didnt wrap around the tower but had its own shape/ rear bar. On the Malibu Illision tower it has brakets on the tower that the bimini slides into and supports the bimini and gives it the cool angles, I give you credit for doing somthing diffrent. This Idea opens up the posibility of having wakeboard's that would strap to the bimini as rack's like in the X star

I've seen these biminis
Just a note to let you guys know I've seen these biminis, and these guys build a very nice fitting top. They have a reiniforced area around the back of the top that wraps around the back bar on the tower, and then zips to itself to keep the bimini taut. I want one, but I think I'm going to wait until we get a new style tower on our PAN (99 original style tower). I do agree with W Choc. that the tower could use the front style strut and get rid of the strap, and it appears that the bimini would be more effective with better rear coverage. Not sure how far back off the tower he would need to add, anybody with feedback? Those of you with a Tower Bimini, how far back off the tower do those biminis cover?

Hey Guys Thanks for the comments, Just to let you know that we have built an extention off the back of a 226 so it is do-able, but the top that we build is about 18 inchs longer than the 3 bow biminis that most people use and is slants to the front so it gives more coverage than you would think.
I am going to look at putting the struts ton the front and using the new quick release hinges,
We are trying to engineer a top that will work well for everyone and look good on the boat
Thanks Terry
