I agree with all who say it can't tow a tube, therefore the only "Safe" protocal is to only pull Skiers/Boarders/Footers/Etc.

Ditch the tubes and teach or learn a truly skilled event!!

OK. Happy holidays to all. My two cents, given the perspective of coming into this grand sport from somewhat cooler climates.

      tubing happens.

I am on vacation in Big Sky, Montana. It is 0 degrees. Yesterday we enjoyed a foot of fresh snow. It's like silk. We board. All 4 of us.

The 10 year old in our bunch is a hammer. (There is a 12 year old nearly surpassing me which is beyond the subjetct of this post).

My youngest flies through the pow like a pro. And on hard pack, he has form I wish i had now. Clearly this ability comes from opportunity, talent, experience and the knowledge that with speed, there is fun. speed also fosters respect. some of the speed he has enjoyed heretofore was in tubing.

Yeah, he's tubed before. Tubing is maybe faster than some kids ride, when they are starting. The thrill has fed us all. And that thrill has promoted the growth of the sports we love. It builds confidence and provides together time.

I am not ever going to be on your lake doing doughnuts or ruining the glass. I am here for the pow.

My kids already appreciate this principle.
