    GoPro Camera

Just interested to find out if any people are using GoPro cameras in combination the LINC to record/watch the rider. If so I would love hear what people have learned!

Gopros are not good to distance viewing bc of its wide lense and no zoom. Its used best when mounted to the board/ski, chest, handle, helmet or for surfing behid the boat or off the boom.

Not quite, the latest gopro 2 cameras have a narrow field of view and do a lot better job of long distance. This is some footage from the back of the boat with a 75ft line + handle! Quite impressive for a small camera I think. http://vimeo.com/33524937

Is the camera mounted on something to follow the rope? Or, is someone holding it? I now have one of these cameras and am trying to decide on mounting options.

          Have a great day.

The camera is jous mounted to a 3 ft go pole. I am simply sitting in the back seat and pointing it at the rider and hoping that he is in the shot! Turns out it is fairly easy to do.

Just a sample of what you can do.

I made this out of an old broom stick and put some refridge insulation on it to make sure it floats.

I checked out the video, that's pretty sweet. I just got a GP2, looking forward to making some creative mounts for wakesurfing. I like the broomstick, how did you mount the camera to it?

simply used a SS screw and drilled it into the stick. take a tiny drill bit and drill the stick so you don't split it though. You can screw the mount right to the stick through the existing holes in the mount.
