    Do you know when all of the wakeboarding events are happening? Also, just curious if you've found good deals on wakeboarding/ski gear at the Atlanta Show. Our show in Charlotte is hit or miss on that kind of stuff, although, we did pick up a brand new Pro-Tec helmet with ear flaps for my son for $10 last year!

    thanks,

        Thanks for the heads up! I'm going to be in Atlanta this week for business and I just signed up for the free Thursday ticket. It will sure beat another room service meal.

              Mine was a '08 and I'm not sure if it was on the showroom floor. She was sitting at the Bald Ridge Marine Max.

              Sold her a few weeks ago though

                  Atlanta Boat Show

                  Crazy sight on news tonight in Seattle about the Atlanta Show - showed a wakeboard tank collapsed and literally a river running through the boat show, I guess trashed out carpets and did some flooding damage. Anyone there that saw this?

                        I had the opportunity to check out the show on Sunday, and got to see a busy Marine Max booth with a lot of nice Nautiques on display, great job! Bob Soven was on hand to greet visitors, and it appeared that the MM guys sold alot of the boats on hand.
                        I checked out the Malibus, Mastercrafts and Supras, and in no particular order, my thoughts;

                        Mastercraft-had the new Xstar on hand with Zane Schwenk to do the tours and Q&A. It looks like the boat they have shown at other shows, black with orange interior.
                        Some thoughts;
                        -boat is HUGE
                        -bow is still too big, cockpit size suffers
                        -A TON of CNC machine work on this boat!
                        -Tower is bad, just horrible
                        -Alot of interesting interior features, flippable rear facing seat, good storage
                        -X15 show price $72k which compared very well against Malibu's VLX.
                        Malibu
                        -MXZ-eehhh, not for me, but good size, again, too much space wasted on the bow, cockpit looks the same size as the VLX.
                        -Interiors look the same to me, new electronic touch screens inside. Controls from the screens, and appears to require scrolling or changing screens to get to functions.
                        -according to salesman, ballast system can't utilize "piggy backed" ballast sacks for additional weight.
                        -pretty cool graphic "pre-sets" or memory for the speed control system

                        Supra
                        -interiors seem to have improved quite a bit
                        -22' foot has a "walk through"/convertible seat, cockpit on this boat looks small, sunpad really big
                        -using the previous CC/Roswell tower, looks better than their "half tower"
                        -still using bags stock for ballast
                        -show price of $65k for the 22'

                        Nautique
                        -210-no big changes other than the dash/display, and the addition of the gunwale storage (finally!) in the coaming pads.
                        $88k show price, list of $109K!!

                        Illormor had an engine on display in the Mastercraft booth, some nice details, and good looking/well designed peripheral components. Engine I saw had a bellhousing mounted/rear facing starter, and a nice little bracket/tray for the oil filter. Engine had stout looking mounts and sported a ZF trans mounted to the back.
                        Looks like PCM has some competition...

                          About the Xstar seating did you notice when the rear seat is flipped to face back it allows only 2 passengers to face to the rear. At the same time it blocks at least 4 seats on both sides. Unlike the 210 there are no seat backs on the side seats . The X15 you looked at was actually 86k there were 2 price tags on the MC boats the top one was base price the one hidden under was price as shown. There was no mention of a trailer on both tags.

                            The XStar that was at the show is still the prototype (same boat that was at surf expo) - from what I was told there are still a number of changes to be made to the interior before the production version, particularly in the rear seating area.

                              didn't even stop long enough at the Mastercraft booth to notice that NH, those towers are AWFUL, too bad as when you look at the components, you can see the amount of machine time spent on them, but the final result is BAD.

                              Didn't spend a lot of time looking at the new Star, there were always a bunch of people around, so I didn't climb in there to have a look.
