Something else I noticed is the tow pylon in the back gel coat. In '99 it was in the floor by by the drivers seat like a direct drive. It looks like it may have been added which was a pretty big project if it was done right. I don't see any plugs on the floor which is what I did with my previous '99.

I wil always miss the sound of that gt 40 when you first fire it up!

Enjoy it, that was a great boat. Take it easy towing, that's a lot of boat for a single axle. I sold my single axle and upgraded to tandem after one of my bearings melted away.

interesting point about the pylon...HID ends in 99 and there is no evidence that it was moved (and why would anyone do that??)...i'm going with late '99 frankenstein boat.

never worried about the trailer until now...i need to get it from NC to MI and after that it will only get trailered maybe 8 miles a year...guess i'll take it slow on the tow back from NC...

Still if the rest of the boat checks out in good condition I would go off of that rather than the hourmeter anyways.

        This.

Here is what the down swing tach of that era looked like. The hour meter is along the bottom (obscured by the steering wheel in this shot unfortunately). In 99, I think they had a digital version that was at the top of the gauge. /edit. Yes, I see they did above.

Great Colors, my 99' Sport/Air was exactly the same.

There is a guy on CCFan who is looking to get a boat hauled from Indiana down to North Carolina, could help pay for some gas on the way down.

The 1999 Correct Craft boats did have the bottom swing tachometer, with the hour meter built in. all Correct Craft boats.

The 1999 Super Air was originally designed in 1995, as a Super Sport, a V-drive boat. This boat was designed as a "family friendly" V-drive boat, that has an acceptable slalom ski wake. Not a good ski wake, by Ski Nautique standards, but acceptable. The 1995 Super Sport had the center mounted ski pylon. I am not sure when Correct Craft started to put a pylon in the deck behind for seat in the V-drive boats, but on many of the Super Air boats, if you pull up the floor board, ahead of the gas tank, there is still a pylon mount below the floor.

You found a unicorn with that boat. Rare gelcoat for 99 San. Most had 2 color hulls with the retrographics. I had those colors on my 99 air and loved them, although I think I prefer that color combo with the 99 air graphic and on the air hull a bit better. Looks like observer seat vinyl has been replaced (no logo). Not a big deal. The tower was probably a retrofit, but I guess it is possible that this was the last 99 San and they tried out the new tower on it and moved the pylon. It does not even look like there is room for a pylon next to the driver seat. I think you found a prototype evolutionary boat between 99 and 2000.
