How much ballast before you felt you needed to re-prop

I have a 2008 210TE with ex343 and for some reason today I got a set of w701 which are 800lbs on top of factory ballast. I really dont want to re-prop, think I will need to??

Is the "some reason" because you want that major surf wake like n3 has? (I know I do!)

do you have the Acme 645 now?

I have the 645, I was looking at the new pump wakemaker has with the no kink hose. I sac up when my brother-in-law comes over to surf and use his bags (w703) and pump and HATE his pump, so I figured i'd just buy mine own and ended with sacs too.

The folks at Acme will be able to give you an idea about how much more rpm you can expect if you were to switch to the 1579 or the 1235...they would also be a good resource for selcting the right prop. http://www.nautiqueparts.com/propell...nautiques.aspx

I have access to both the 1235 and 1579 (whole family has newer 210's) Just wondering if an extra 800lbs would be near the limit or not. Guess I will find out this spring if the zero off can hold speed or not.

You should reprop anyways. The newer props are so much better all around then the 645. The 1235 would be a great choice. Props have come a long way in the past few years.

The 645 is 2003 technology is what I mean. I am sure its newer and functions fine, its just that there is a reason that most of the newer boats have the larger 14.5" diameter props now. They are more efficient. I am running one on my older san with a python and the RPMs across all speeds are way lower than when I ran the 644. The 644 is just the RH version of what you run. I would never go back to the smaller props now that I have had a newer designed big bladed prop.

                      You mean 13.5 dia 645 is a 13.25 dia with 16 pitch.

I need to look at my prop, N3 is saying the 1579 is the stock prop on the Team. I need to do more doing and less talking, winter down time has me quessing about stuff.

well my 08 is a TE and it has a 645.
When I talked to ACME they told me a 1579 or 1631.

some came with the 645, some with the 1579. I believe it was when the boat was built, the earlier 08's came with the 645, and later 1579's. Either way, if you have the 645, swap it out for the 1579 and youre good to go.
