    Which Nautique?

I have three kids, ages 11,9 and 6 who have been wakeboarding for two years. we currently have a Supra Santerra with an extended pylon and want to upgrade. we are looking at the 210, 211, or 226. The supra has a lot of room, which leads me to the 226. We primarily wakeboard, not ski, which is why I also like the 210. The 211 seems like a compromise, but if the wake is high caliber it may not mean giving up much.

what do you veterns think for a family of five?

    RE: Which Nautique?

It all depends on what your definition of "high caliber" is. I personally think the wake on the 211 is sufficient but there are more advanced riders than myself who feel they need more. Storage is a huge plus in the 211. The wake on the 210 is very steep and is more than likely going to be intimidating to your kids. The 226 still has a very large wake but it isn't as steep. Size to size, I would say seriously consider the 226.

      How about the super air?

      SN

Our family is in a similar situation (you may remember all the other questions you've helped me out with) but we are looking at older boats. Can you tell me how a 2000 Super Air fits into the scheme of things? In addition to my kids (13 and 8), I have a pack of friends with kids who we would also like to introduce to wakeboarding without scaring the swim trunks off them (at least at first).

      Thanks - Gene

the 210 and super air are the same boat. like stated above it is a very intimidating boat for beginner to intermediate level riders. Very large, very steep. I think as a family boat you are proabably better off with the 211 or 226. They are larger and have more storage plus they cross over for both skiing and riding. A weighted SAN has a wake that would definitely scare the pants off of an 8 year old.
Ummm, I\'ll take the REAL 210 please. Thanks.

          magene,
as stated above the 210 is the same as the san. the hull has been the same for a long time now. I don't want to say that the wake is too huge and scare people off. You definately don't want to weight the 210 down for the kids. Dogma has a few more options than you because he is looking for new. That is why I am telling him to go with a 211 or 226. Will you go wrong with a SAN? No not at all. Just don't weight the boat down. If you aren't set on Vdrives, take a look at a 216 or a regular air nautique (1998-2002)
I hope this isn't too confusing. If it is, send me a PM.

If your coming from a Supra with a lot of room, I think you may find the lack of storage on the 210 to be a big turn off. The 210 is a great boat and has an awesome wake, but there is virtually no storage space, especially when/if you add additional ballast. Numerous members of this forum have 211s and always speak very highly of them.

There are pros that prefer the wake of the 226 to the 210.

Definitely try to do a demo of all three.
